Are you OK?
Jordan's POV:
I woke up feeling like I had a million problems. I definitely know Brooklyn won't be going to school. I have to tell Cassandra that I will be going to Brooklyn's house instead of school. I took my shower, put my hair in a bun, threw on some jeans and a top and ran downstairs.
"Cassandra, can you call the school and tell them I'm sick," I asked while walking in the kitchen.
"Sandra left to go get the groceries. . . You are going to school," She informed firmly.
"The last time I checked, you don't know my name . . . therefore, I don't have to listen to you," I stated raising my voice.
"I am your mother and you do as I say," My mother yelled.
"You are really funny. . . A mother is someone who loves you. A mother is someone who is always there. A mother gives you advice. Last but certainly not least, a mother is someone who actually knows your dislikes and likes, plus your name. . . Bye Mary," I informed her trying not to cry.
"Jay. . . I mean Jordan! You better not cry," She screamed with anger.
"Why can't I cry! My dumb-ass mother is never there for me! I bet you don't know my birthday. . . . Do you, Mary," I cried.
"Of course I know. . . . its. . . . July 4th, right," She asked while frowning.
"Really,Mary. . . . . My birthday is April 24th you drunk," I yelled holding everything in me not to punch her in the face.
"It was close! I know more about you then your deadbeat father," She stated.
"Really. . . I actually talk to my father more than you. He may live in Florida but, he sends me letters and birthday cards. He only left because of you," I screamed.
"You wanna know the real reason since, you know everything," She stated silently.
"Why because you cheated. . . I'm not really his, Am I," I asked crying my heart out.
"Listen you little bitch, You were an accident. God, I wish that day never happened," She yelled.
I looked at her in disgust, took my keys and walked out of the house. I got in my car and headed to Brooklyn's house.
I arrived in Brooklyn's driveway and decided to call Cassandra, to let her know where I'm at. I dialed her number and patently waited.
"Hey Hun, are you having car troubles. . . . Why aren't you in school? What's wrong,"Sandra asked.
"No, no and, nothing. Mary told me the truth about my father, I'll be fine. . . but Brooklyn is going through a hard time right now and I'm calling to tell you that I'm at Brooklyn's house. I won't be home until late, if she lets me in the house," I informed looking out of my window.
"That's fine, but I have news to lighten the mood. . . So guess what," She asked excitedly.
"What," I asked.
"Phillip asked me out . . . and I said yes," Sandra squealed.
"OMG, I never knew he liked you liked you," I squealed even louder.
"Well we go out next week on Friday. . . The same week your mom is going to Milan. You have to stay with Brian for the night," She said quietly.
"Aww, good for you but that's horrible for me. I guess I will call Travis over. Well I'm about to go in. Bye," I said trying to hide how mad I was.
"Bye Jordan," She sweetly sang.
I was aggravated. This will be my first time alone with Brian. I really have to call Brooklyn or Travis to come over . . . they probably can keep me sane with him in the room next to mine. I sighed heavily and headed to Brooklyn's front door. I rang the doorbell and hoped her mom was home. If her mom wasn't here, Brooklyn probably won't answer the door.
