Amma Martin POV

"A hungry alpha is a disgrace!" Miss Benson exclaims

"it's our job as their mates to prepare a delicious meal whenever they get hungry"

I groan making my best friend Josie elbow me.

She gives me a 'don't start' look.

I hate this.

I turn away from her because she's right, I should keep my mouth shut just this once and try to focus I bet this will be on the test!

"This year in home economics, I'm going to teach you girls, the right portions of food to make for alphas. This also applies to any ordinary male wolf, you all know a male wolf can eat up to ten full plates of food and still be hungry"

I can't do this, I need to get out of here.

I raise my hand "excuse me, Miss Benson"

Miss Benson ignores me and keeps talking.

I don't blame her she probably thinks I am going to say something sarcastic about what she just said.

I do have something sarcastic to say, but my parents warned me that if they got a call from her again I will be grounded.

Yes werewolf parents also ground their kids.

But for me, it's a different story, Since I'm the alpha daughter my punishment is a lot harsher.

"Now it's your job to know what your alpha's favorite me-"

"Miss Benson, I really need to use the ladies room" I cut her off mid-sentence

she looks at me shocked "oh- well, go head Luna Amma" she smiles,

poor thing she's actually happy because I didn't call her out for being sexist.

That word doesn't exist in our world.

I learned it from watching human movies, and I've been using it ever since.

I just use it to piss my pack off most of the time, I pick my bag from the ground only to interrupted by miss Benson frown.

"Do you need your bag to use the restroom?" She asks narrowing her eyes at my leather bag.

"Yes, unless you want me to take out my pad-"

"No, I'm sorry Luna go ahead" she stutters her face turning red.

My eyes connect with Josie before I leave, my best friend covers her mouth as she laughs silently.

I close the door with a smug smile and make my way to the toilet.

I was not lying about wanting to use the restroom, I don't have my period though, I need to pee.

Not only that, but I am also not planning on coming back.

My mom and dad won't be home, they're at a meeting with the elders, so I'm going to sleep and sneak out of my window when they arrive home and pretend I just came back from school.

I am washing my hands when the doors open and in walks in Kimberly Sinclair AKA bitch of the way- haven pack.

She is Beta Mathew's daughter, he is my father's best friend and pack beta.

You would expect us to be the best of friends since we grew up in the same house.

That's not the case, Kimberly hates my guts.

I dislike her, but I don't hate her guts. Hate is a strong word, I don't like to use it, but I really don't like her.

She's a pain to my ass, always trying to outshine me. Make me look bad in front of the pack elders and my dad.

"Your highness" she smirks giving me a dirty look

She turns to the mirror and lovingly gazes at herself.

She runs her fingers through her blonde hair.

I am also blonde, but my hair never looks so shiny and luxurious.

"You forgot to bow" I remark with a fake smile

I had a better comeback, I really did! It just got lost in my head!

"So it's official, you and alpha Heath," she says after a beat of silence

Alpha Heath is my promised one and soon to be my Mate after I accept him.

I've known the Alpha my whole life, we're not mates but that doesn't matter.

Sadly I don't have a say in the matter, the day I was born my parents made an arrangement with the lux pack that Heath and I will be mated.

Our pack will merge.

I made a deal with my parents to let me finish school first before mating with heath.

I hate school but I still want an education.

The girls in my pack stop their education as soon as they find their mates.

They know their alpha will take care of them and there's no need to make a living and I know heath will take care of me, but I still want to feel like I can take care of myself.

"No, not yet" I answer Kimberly.

Kimberly scoffs at that "is that why you're wearing his Birthstone?"

I look down at the necklace that my father gave me on my 16th birthday last night.

Today is my birthday, I officially turn 16 but my parents decided to give me their presents last night because they wanted today to be about the pack.

In the Wayhaven pack, 16 is the most celebrated birthdays because finally, we find our mates.

Every girl/boy looks forward to it, except me.

The thought made me sad because I know I would never be with my real mate.

"No, my father gave me this," I tell her touching the necklace.

It's one of a kind according to him.

"You should really pay attention in class Amma, I know you're daddy's girl, but that necklace is from alpha Heath"

I roll my eyes "and you know this because?" I ask crossing my arms

"Unlike you, I'm a good student and I know that when an alpha as powerful as Heath finds a mate he gives a necklace to her father and when the girl is ready, or she accepts the alpha... she wears the necklace to let other alphas know she has found her mate"

"Wh-what?" I stutter

That can't be true.

Kimberly had a smirk on her face.

I wanted to punch that smirk off her face!

"I have to go" I grit out

I practically run out of the toilets fuming, I don't stop until I am deep in to the woods.

I keep going not caring what direction I'm headed.

It's not like I'm going to get lost, I know the whole pack like the back of my hand.

My mother says that anger is a bad habit, like smoking or eating ice-cream at 2 in the morning.

It's poisoning yourself without thinking about it.

My dad says that I'm a werewolf and a woman, therefore, anger is my second nature and whenever I get angry I shouldn't feel bad.

So you can't blame me when I grab the person behind me and swing them across the other direction with a loud growl.

"Ouch" Ibenez groans slowly standing up

"Amma, you need to calm down"

"Why do you keep following me?! Everywhere I go, you're always there! I can't even shit for two seconds without you being there with me!"

I so didn't mean to say that but when I am angry I can't control my mouth.

Ibenez makes a face "that's gross, even for you"

Ibenez is my best friend and my "protector" as my father puts it.

But he is more of a body-guard who lets me get away with things he shouldn't.

He is one of the strongest wolves in the pack and recently became the youngest pack warrior after killing a vicious rogue.

"I don't want to fight you, Ibenez," I sigh calming down a little

I just feel so alone in times like these, the last thing I want to do is mate with Heath.

But like I said no one cares what I want.

Some times I close my eyes and imagine Heath as my mate, for a second the feeling of missing a part of me goes away.

"What's wrong?" Ibenez asks

"I'm just mad at my dad! He tricked me into wearing this" I take my necklace off and stuff it in my pocket

"I rather you take your anger on me than the alpha" Ibenez replies resting against a tree

"I know you don't agree on a lot of your father's rules but what can you do?"

The sun shines on his face making his brown flawless skin become golden, Ibanez is handsome with dark eyes, prominent cheekbones and muscles rippled across every part of his body making him bigger than all the betas in way-haven.

His wolf was almost as big as my father.

He was obviously born a warrior.

All the girls lusted over him, all the other wolves looked up to him and my parents treated him like their own son.

He was at the pack house more than he was at his own house.

Everyone loved him, that much was obvious.

What was not so obvious was like me, he too wanted to fit into our pack and be accepted for the way he chose to live his life.

We both know that my father old ways will never change.

"Let's go home," I tell him

One day hopefully Ibenez will find a love like the rest of the werewolves, maybe we can both find our mates and live happily ever after.

this my first werewolf story! I don't know how this will turn out but something tells me this will be the DUFF of werewolves stories on wattpad.... *insert awkward laugh*
