"Morgan, wake up," Ian says lightly shaking his girlfriend Morgan, of two years.

"huh," was all that came out of Morgan's mouth as she rolled over to face Ian. she rubbed her eyes to adjust to the light in the room.

"good morning baby," he moved a strand of her hair out of her face.

"you just came home didn't you?" Morgan questioned as she sat up in the king size bed they shared. Ian took a seat on the end of the bed.

"i stayed with Rizzo after they took me out." he couldn't help but hide the laugh as he was thinking back to hours before when his teammates took him to a club for his birthday.

"mhm," Morgan rolled her eyes and laid back down, facing the wall, away from Ian.

"babe, I'm serious." he tried to touch her leg but she moved it away.

"you could of taken an uber home."

"i know but Rizzo insisted i stay with him." Ian got up from his spot on the end of the bed and walked over to the side Morgan was laying on. he grabbed her hand and rubbed his thumb up and down the backside of her fingers.

"if you think I'm cheating on you, i promise you. I'm not. i would never do that. i love you with everything I've got Morgan. you're my one and only." Morgan couldn't help but smile. Ian meant the world to her as well but something just didn't seem right.

"okay I'm sorry. happy birthday baby. i love you too." with that, Morgan sat up and kissed Ian passionately.

the happy couple were having fun dancing at the party Morgan decided to throw for Ian as he drags Morgan onto the stage by the dj.

"i'd just like to say a few quick words. i want to thank you all for coming. I'm so blessed to have be able to turn twenty four. my teammates, not only have you guys made me a better player on the field, you have also made me a better person off. and last but not least my beautiful girlfriend Morgan. she planned this whole thing so thank her not me." Ian grabbed Morgan's hand. she couldn't contain her smile. she had so much love for this man it was unbelievable. "you have been with me through this whole journey. even though it's only been two years since we started dating, you were my best friend before. thank you for helping me when i have bad days and being there for me on my good ones. with that being said," Ian got down on one knee. you can hear multiple gasps from family and friends in the audience. Morgan's hand flies over her mouth while tears are rolling down her cheeks. "Morgan Baker will you make me the happiest man in the whole world and marry me?"

all she could do was nod her head. Ian then slipped the beautiful ring on Morgan's ring finger. the now engaged couple shared a passionate kiss as their friends and family erupted into applause.

"i love you so much baby." Ian said as they pulled apart.

"one heck of a birthday huh." the couple got of the stage to show their family members the ring.
