Chapter 8

( Anika )

I did not know whether it was the Goa's air or what. But my thoughts were translating into actions. The previous day was so much fun. I could say he was affected by me. The way he looked at me. I was slowly beginning to understand those eyes of his. His discomfort was visible. Last night was even more amusing. The way he had looked dreadfully when he learned we had to share the duvet. It wouldn't look nice to ask for another. If things like that left the room, there would sure be gossip. The way he slept like a soldier, only I knew how I kept within me the urge to burst into laughter.

Oh, I had the time of my life being a tease. On purpose moving on the bed only to see his eyes screwed shut and body stiff. I wondered if he had the slightest clue that I did it in purpose.

As we walked along I let the back of my right palm brush the back of his left. My gaze was fixed at the endless sea and the waves. He did the same a minute later. I smiled. This silence was awkward because I really did not know what was going on in that mind of his.

"So, " I said breaking the silence as always. "You like the beach?"

"I'd prefer the mountains any day not that I do not like the sea!"

"Hmm!" I hummed.

"You?"

"Love the beach. " I  said looking down at the sand. "We used to visit here a lot during summer vacations she I was at school. "

He smiled, and second later frowned looking at the end of his pant getting dirty. Urrgh! Who wears a formal pant and shirt to the beach?  My Hubby does!

"Wait!" Said I as I bent before him.

He was startled and moved back.

"I m not touching your feet out of no where, I am just rolling up the pant!" I giggled.

" It's fine, I..

"Done " said I before he could complete.

"Thanks!" He said running his hand on the back of his hair. Sexy Man! I turned away looking back at the waves a s we resumed walking.

"Have you ever played with the waves?" I asked randomly. I knew he wouldn't have, still I wanted conversation. I wanted him to speak. I had to learn how his mind worked.

"Waves? Why, no? I mean is that possible?"

I rolled my eyes, stopping in track. "Let us then!"

"What?" He asked surprised.

"O, come on Shivaay!" I held his hand and ran to the nearest rock. I got my slippers off. "Get them off!"
