I ran as fast as I could to the canoe lake, where I knew no one could find me. I didn't stop until I hit the bottom of the lake.
Suddenly, all my emotions rushed forward, and I collapsed to the ground. I couldn't think straight. My vision blurred with tears, and the only thing I could think about was how much of a failure I was.
