I hid my scars from you out of shame
But I'm not the only one who's changed
I wish I stopped it way back then
When things made sense, when we were friends
But now it's just shattered remains
A thousand words can't mend a soul
but it's not lack of trying
A thousand words couldn't help
They couldn't help you or me.
