The radio was on, playing some of the recent hits in a quiet volume. Mom was sitting at the steering wheel, while Ava was playing with one of her dolls - namely Nature's small clone what I made for her after she had been begging for one for so long.

I was checking my Instagram - firstly, my personal one and then Nature's, too - when a notification popped up, saying 'Captain Man and Kid Danger is now following you'. I narrowed my eyebrows, but at the same time a smile spreaded on my cheek.

However, the sound of the notification was loud enough to attract mom's attention. "What is happening in the virtual world, honey?"

"Uh, you know, just the usual advertising sites want to follow me on Instagram" I lied, quickly exiting the app.

Yesterday, when I arrived at home, I told my mother that I was just too busy visiting the city and some fans stopped me for an autograph - I don't know why, but she has always hated superheroes and things in connection with it. Her opinion about it that it's just too childish to live your life and you also get money for it. She also said that by doing it, the heroes simply steal the work from the policemen, lifeguards or firefighters. That's why she hasn't let me do anything like that. Okay, on the one hand she's right, but where's the fun in growing plants? It would be exciting - and dangerous at the same time, but who cares? The only problem that mom and Drake know my secret, so if I want to join Cap's team, I must be secretive.

Suddenly, the sound of brakes pulled me back to the real world. We arrived to my new school, namely Swellview High. Nervousness creeped into my throat, making a huge dumpling there. My stomach shrunk into the size of a pea, while I grabbed my schoolbag and opened the door of the darkbrown Renault.

"Be nice with your new classmates, Del. They'll surely be helpful and kind" told mom, giving a big, smacking kiss onto the face. It was just a little bit too embarrassing.

I quickly got out of the car. "Alright, Mom. See ya afternoon" with that, I closed the door, turned around and began walking toward the friendly-looking building, to where a lot of students were going in. Come on, Delilah, you can do it.

I straightened my back, breathed in and stepped one forward. Then another step, and another, and another. I got myself on walking closer and closer to the glass door of the school, then opening it and stepping forward. Firstly I thought I will see another, boring building with tons of students, but then it wasn't that bad. The lockers were differently colored - with two colors, turquoise and purple - and alternately placed. The other things were made of wood beside the light colored walls and grey floor.

I was about to begin looking for my locker, when a girl with black, curly hair stopped in front of me. "Hi, you must be Delilah Moore, right?"

"Uhm yeah, that's me" I answered, don't knowing anything about what will happen. Beside, it was pretty embarrassing and awkward that every other students were looking at me like I was a weirdo or something.

"Right! I'm Charlotte, sorry for my sudden appearance" said the girl and invited me after her. "I'm gonna be your guide for your first couple of days so you won't get lost. This is your locker, let me... Oh hey, Henry!"

A blond haired guy stopped next to us, greeting Charlotte with a tired smile. I couldn't help but see him as the exact and perfect clone of Kid Danger after our little meeting yesterday without the mask and in different clothes.

What the strange thing was that he was examining me with the same suspicious look in his brown eyes. "Hey Charlotte... Who do we have here?"

Before Charlotte could answer, I overtook her. "Delilah. My name is Delilah"

"Nice to meet you, Delilah. Sorry for asking, but haven't I seen you before?" he asked, excitedly waiting for my answer.

"Pretty sure not" I answered, shaking my head in disagreement. He seemed familiar, but only because he looked like Kid's clone.

"Oh okay... Well, will you attend our class?" he moved on to another important fact

"I honestly don't know... The e-mail said my first class will be History" I read it aloud from the informing paper I printed yesterday. I really hoped I'll be in Charlotte and Henry's class as they were the only people I knew... at least for more than zero minutes.

"Cool, that'll be our first class, too" said the guy with a kind smile on his cheek, pushing playfully Charlotte by the side. The girl looked at him with an annoyed look. "By the way, have you scanned your finger yet?"

"Nope" I answered shortly. I stepped to the turquoise locker which was the last one from the right, displaying the same number like on my informing paper. "That's mine"

"Really? Mine is the purple one beside yours" followed Henry me and Charlotte to the lockers, which weren't too far from the entrance - fortunately. "Wanna help me scan your finger?"

"Sure" I agreed, letting the boy hold my right index finger to the high-tech lock. It was a quite strange way of keeping my personal things in safe, but I kinda liked it. Back in Bordertown we used the original number-coded one.

"I see Henry can show you around" sounded Charlotte after being quiet for long. We both looked at her, I'm a bit embarrassed while Henry with a charming and pleased smile. Before leaving us, the girl turned to the guy. "Hen, don't do anything stupid to her, okay? Finally someone arrived who doesn't seem empty-headed"

"Char, I just wanna help her, that's all" confirmed the boy. After Charlotte had left us with her head shaking, Henry turned back to me, seeing my suspicious expression. "Don't worry, I won't do anything bad... Charlotte can be sometimes too uneasy"

"Okay" I told, trying to clear the worried thoughts out of my mind while watching the blond guy scanning in my fingerprint. This day may won't be so bad as I have imagined earlier...
