She stares, lost in thought at the rippling water
As it swirls hundreds of feet below her
She wishes she could flow as easily, as freely as it
As quickly and joyously as the ripples amongst it
To roam as freely and as widely as not only the river
But the very air that ruffles her hair out of its bun,
The breeze that blows into her open bedroom window
Breathing a new air, a new life, a new start into the room,
Drying the soon forgotten tear-stained pillow on the sill
The same wind there, yet here, urging and pushing her on.
And it was then, with the adventures of many lifetimes
Sifting on the tip of her watering tongue, that she let go.
Her toes curled, and then released from the metal structure,
And from then until forever, she became one with the water,
Twirling, dancing, and embracing every inch of the world.
She blew in the wind, howling and whispering happily
Kissing the frost-bitten faces of those she loved,
Drying the warm tears of the ones who loved her,
To them she plainly died, but what they don’t know

Thoughts Made to Sound Pretty
KurzgeschichtenSo these are a collection of poems (and a short story here and there) that I've just written throughout the year. They all just started out as random thoughts that I've been able to make sound prettier.
