Just… Why?
Why must gum lose its flavor
or memories fade to black?
Why do coins lose their shine
or people turn on their friends?
Aren’t happy things supposed to last?
Why must we experience new ones?
Weren’t the old ones good enough?
I just don’t understand
why we must forget,
neglect
and let
the good times
Die.
