Hello, and thank you so much for giving this short story a try! I've been noodling around with this concept for a while, and in a fit of inspiration (and way too much coffee), I started fervently typing.

We're following Mimi (short for Emily), our heroine, as she stumbles through what should have been her dream come true.

As an eighteen-year-old single mom and struggling singer-songwriter, Mimi's life is already complicated enough. But, when she finds out that she's mysteriously won the opportunity to open for none other than the biggest boy band in the world, Ninja Bear, everything in her life is flipped upside down.

With her star on the rise, Mimi accidentally gets caught up in the swirling rumor-mill around Miles, Ninja Bear's most notorious baby-faced bad boy. Then there's Connor, the enigmatic boy with grey eyes that can see more than just a pretty face. When online rumors start having real-life consequences, Mimi realizes that there's a razor-sharp line between fame and infamy.

It's all fun and games until someone realizes that people are playing with your life!
