Dance with Me

Usually I enjoy morning like this, you know the birds chirping happily, the sun shining brightly, and the comfort of the fresh morning breeze hitting my skin. But today I’d rather be in sleeping beauty’s state than be that jerk’s dancing partner. How dare he mock my lack of dancing experience, I know I made fun of his expertise in the waltz, but still It’s not like I had a choice, I didn’t grew up in a mansion, I didn’t grew up having expensive stuff constantly shoved in my face, I didn’t grow up to be rich.

I wake up every morning thinking of my next plan on how to get in my enemies territory not thinking of what I’m going to wear for the next ‘ball’. Gosh how did I end up babysitting my ex? If only I can go back in time and re-do everything from the day I met him but of course this is reality not a fantasy.

My eyes fluttered open and instantly a groan escape my lips as I found myself looking at a pair of ocean blue orbs that want to hate but love.

Aiden was hovered on top of me wearing his infamous smirk, “Good morning sleepy head” he chirped happily. His happiness made me cringed, I wanted him to suffer not smile like a freaking four year old.

“Get off before I blow your head up into pieces” I growled silently, my voice menacing and vicious. Instead of doing as I told Aiden stayed in place, his smirk growing in amusement.

Out of the blue and without my expectations, he pinched my cheeks as if I was a child “Aww did someone wake up in the wrong side of the bed?” he cooed

“You’re an idiot you know that?” I snapped blankly as I push him off of me and walked towards my closet for my clothes. Deciding to just wear a casual tank top and dark blue skinny jeans I made my way towards the washroom leaving Aiden sitting in the bed with smile forming on his lips. I couldn’t help but study that smile, it wasn’t a grin or a smirk, it was genuine. He should really stop doing that; sooner or later I’ll fall for him even more. But without even knowing as soon as the bathroom door closed a smile manages to slip its way on to my lips.

Oh what is that boy doing to me?

~

“Do even know how to walk in heels?” he grumbled in annoyance with a cup of tea in his hand.

“Of course I do you idiot” grumpily I snap my heels on and stood up with confidence. I waited for some sort of instructions but instead he sat their drinking his expensive tea as he gaze into the distant. What was going on in that arrogant head of his?

With a sigh Aiden stood up and slowly circled me, studying every inch of my body that made me unusually cautious.  Holding my breath I waited for him to move aside, I couldn’t help but notice how close he was. The warmth of his body was enough to dominate me, his stern yet gentle eyes bore into my eyes that it was impossible to look away. I not clearly confident if it was my imagination or not but I saw his eyes waver, regret and sadness was vividly painted through his mesmerizing ocean blue vision.

Realizing that he was in daze Aiden coughed awkwardly, I took this moment to facade my confuse complexion “I guess we should start” he said.
