Kenzie's POV

After an uneventful talk on the group chat I placed my phone on my desk and went down stairs for my dinner. Sitting at the table my Mother, sister and my stepfather were eating with me.

"Something wrong sweetheart?" My stepdad Greg asked me. "Noting," I replied sticking my fork into a piece of chicken. My mom and Greg shared a look. "Mackenzie, we noticed that you haven't been yourself lately," my mother started. "I wonder why?" I replied sarcastically. "Kenzie, don't be rude," Maddie threatened. "No I wonder why, oh yeah maybe My mother doesn't care about me, dad hasn't talked to me in months, my sister couldn't give a bigger shit about me, the closest thing I have to a father figure is hardly around and all my friends LEFT ME!" I screamed pushing my chair back and running upstairs. I slammed my bedroom door shut and locked it. I slowly slide down it crying. "Mackenzie please!" My mom banged and banged on the door. "Kenz, I'm sorry!" Maddie screamed. "I wouldn't bother," I cried throwing myself onto my bed and crying. I fell asleep a while after that all I know is that they gave up they must truly hate me.

Time skip

I opened my eyes to be greeted with darkness. My body felt stiff, I looked down to see that I was still wearing my jeans and hoodie from earlier today. I sighed and walked into my bathroom. I peeled my clothes off put my hair into a high bun. I put on my pajamas and washed my makeup off. After that I retrieved my phone from my desk.

After checking everything I decided to see if anyone was awake.

Kenzie: HELOOOO
Kenzie: PEOPLE PLEASE IM BORED
Hayden: Mackenzie Ziegler it's 3am go to sleep
Johhny: Ooo it's the spooky hour
Kenzie: 🙄
Annie: HOLA
Hayden: Bonjour
Johnny: ^ That's not English
Kenzie: Really? I never noticed that
Lauren: PEOPLE LISTEN TO THIS FREAT IDEA
Hayden: IM READY
LAUTEN WHATS YOUR IDEA??
Lauren: We're all bored right?
Hayden: Yep
Annie: Yahh
Kenzie: Obviously
Johnny: Hmm
Lauren: ^ I'll take that as a yes! why don't we all sneak out and meet up
Hayden: I'm up for it
Johnny: I will
Annie: Sure as long as we're home before 7
Lauren: We will what about you Kenz?
Kenzie: Uhhh umm
Hayden: KENZIE PLEASE I SWEAR ON MY TEA THAT I WILL KEEP YOU SAFE!
Lauren: That's a good deal
Kenzie: Can Brynn come
Annie: If it means you come of course
Kenzie: Let me ask her

I left the gc and texted Brynn.

Kenz: BRYNNN
Kenz: BRYNNNY
Brynn: KENZIE
Kenz: Wanna sneak out and hang out with Lauren, Annie, Hayden and Johnny
Brynn: Why them?
Kenz: Cause they invited me
Brynn: What time will we be back for?
Kenz: 7
Brynn: Fine
Kenz: Ok thanks

I smiled to myself. This will definitely be fun

Kenzie: Yep she's coming
Hayden: Add her to the group chat
Kenzie had added Brynn to the "Cool Kids😎".
Lauren: Welcome Brynn
Brynn: Thabks Lauren
Lauren: Ok so let's all meet at the park in 10 minutes
Annie: Kenzie, we love close to each other let's meet up at the end of my street and we'll go together
Lauren: Brynn, meet John and I outside the huge house on our street
Hayden: Can I meet you and Kenzie Annie?
Annie: Yeah of course
Lauren: Right let's go

I dropped my phone and quickly grabbed my favorite hoodie and a pair of leggings. I slipped on my vans and took my hair down. I made sure my door was locked before quietly opening my bedroom window. Luckily there was a small tree in my garden that I was able to jump onto. Jumping off the tree I ran to the end of Annie's street to see her and Hayden standing there. "Right let's go," Annie smiled linking her arm with mine. I laughed and we began walking down the street to meet everyone else.
