James POV
I woke up in the nurse’s office with the worst migraine it made me feel sick. I tried to get up so I could go the bathroom to throw up, but the minute I moved I got dizzy and fell back on the bed. I looked around the room to see if there was a garbage pail any were near by. I looked in the corner of the room to see Gabe sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. I almost had a heart attack when I saw his grey starring intently at me.
“How are you feeling?” He asked concern leaking of his words.
“Better.” I said in a weak voice.
I looked around for the nurse hoping she would just pop up to make the moment less awkward. When I looked back at Gabe he wasn’t in the corner anymore know he was standing over me staring at my stomach with a twist of pain and anger in his eyes. I was confused at why he was staring at me and when I looked down I saw my stomach had a gross looking black and purple bruise on it. I took a sharp breath than poked my stomach and it killed. I flinched from the pain and Gabe gently grabbed my wrist and looked at me with a pained expression.
“The nurse said that two of your ribs are broken, she just left to call your mom.” He said in a hushed voice that was so sexy I couldn’t look away from him.
“Did you stay with me the whole time I was out?” My voice came out barley a whisper with a hint of hope.
“Yea.” He chuckled and smiled I almost died when he smiled at me.
His face was inches away from mine and I could feel his hot breath hit my face, he smelled amazing. He got closer till aware foreheads were touching. Than his lips brushed by mine, it sent heat and sparks threw my lips allover my body. He lent closer to me and depend the kiss. I moaned when his tong licked my bottom lip. I gladly let him in and I didn’t even try to fight for dominance. I felt like I was floating on cloud nine and I never wanted to come down. He stopped kissing me and started to kiss down my neck, it sent shivers down my spine. He went lower till he was at my bruise he stared at if for a second and kissed it very softly. I expected it to hurt but it was almost like it made it feel better. He looked at me with so much gilt in his eyes I thought he was going to cry.
“I’m so sorry this happened to you, I promise no one will ever lay a hand on you again.”
He cupped my face and kissed me again, lighting the same fire works I felt before.
“Ok your mom will be he-“ She stopped short in front of us and started blushing.
“Sorry for disturbing you two, I was just going to say your mom was on her way to pick you up, but it looks like she has something else to worry about than your ribs.” I had this mischiefs grin on her face when she went to go get me a cup of water. I started to blush deep red, and all Gabe could do was give me a side smile and snicker.
“I have to get to practice before my coach kills me, I’ll stop by your house later to see how your doing, ok?” he said and pressed his forehead against mine.
“Ok” I whispered/ giggled. He lent down and gave me a quick kiss than got up and left. I watched him leave and saw how his washed out jeans really showed the shape of his legs. I looked up at the celling and sighed.
“He seamed nice.” Ms. Lea said, I started blushing again and looked down at my bruise. I couldn’t help but think of my dad and remember when he broke my arm by pushing me down the stairs. I still try to convince myself it was an accident. The sound of the phone sucked me out of my trance.
“One second” Ms. Lea said and left the room with the phone. I stilled wander where my dad went, I know he hurt me but I stilled loved him. When he wasn’t drunk or hated my guts he was the best dad, he did everything for me and I missed him, a lot. I felt something hot run down my face and realized I was crying. I quickly wiped away my tears when I herd the Ms. Lea coming back in.
“Ok your mom got stuck at work so you will be staying here for a little bit, why don’t you just take a nap you must be exhausted after everything that happened to you today. I’ll wake you up when your mom gets here.” I started to feel tired and thought about everything that happened today. Than my thoughts drifted to Gabe and how amazing our kiss. Than it hit me, HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND!
