Dedicated to OneD_Lover for making the cover at the side :)

I was trying to look as calm as possible. Inside, I wanted to scream. I wanted to punch a wall. No, I wanted to punch Jesse.

I noticed him walking toward the table with that stupid grin on his face. He glanced down at the table, and his face fell.

I'd sat his phone in the middle of the table, with the text still up on the screen. "I've had a lot of fun with you this week, Jesse. My bed's way too cold without you in it. Still coming over after you ditch the gf? ;) -Shelly" I looked up, wanting to see what he had to say.

"Babe, I can explain." I could tell that he was trying to think of an excuse. This should be good.

"Oh, really. You can explain that. Please, I'd love to hear this."

He looked down. "Uh, she sent it to the wrong guy?" It was more of a question than a statement.

"It has your name on it Jesse. Try again."

He looked extremely uncomfortable. "Look, can we go outside?"

"What, do you come up with better excuses outside?"

"I just want to go out so we can talk about this." His eyes were pleading with me.

I was still really annoyed with him, but I agreed. He held his hand out to me. I got up and breezed past him.

As soon as I was out the door, I spun around and faced him. "How long?"

He looked confused. "How long what?"

"How long have you been cheating on me with her?"

"With who?" He was trying to play dumb. I'm sure he thought it was cute, but I found it really annoying.

"Don't even try playing games with me right now. You and I both know that I'm talking about Shelly. Now, how long have you been cheating on me with her?"

He looked away. "It's only been a few days with her." There was more than one. I knew that for certain. Something in his voice gave it away.

"Who else?" He was pleading with his eyes for me to stop. He tried reaching out for me, but I jumped back. "Who else did you cheat on me with?"

He knew not to mess with me when I was angry, so he stated naming girls. "There was Amber, Melissa, Janet, Karen, Chelsea-"

I cut him off. I'd been expecting one name, two at the most. "What, did you sleep with the whole cheerleading squad?" I meant it as a joke, but Jesse hung his head in defeat. "Oh my gosh. Seriously?! The whole freakin' squad?!" If he thought I was mad before, he hadn't seen anything yet.

"Look, babe, I'm sorry."

"Don't call me babe!" People in the parking lot were staring at us. I turned on them. "Do you people mind?! This is a freakin' two person conversation, not a free show!" I turned my attention back to Jesse, and he cringed with fear. "Besides, you're not sorry. You're just sorry that you got caught."

He didn't say anything. Not a single word. He knew I was right.

My anger was starting to wear off. I didn't feel like screaming. I felt like crying. I trusted Jesse, and he threw it in my face. Looks like the player never quit the game.

I looked into those eyes that I thought I knew so well. "I guess I'd better get going. Wouldn't want you to keep Shelly waiting." With that, I walked away.

I didn't know what I expected. I thought he'd make some kind of effort. Yell for me to stop. Chase me down the sidewalk. Just something.

Instead, my walk was met by silence. I turned, only to see that he was already gone.

I didn't realize where I was going until I was already there. Denny's. It had become my go-to place. I walked throught the doors, glad to be greeted by the usual aroma of burgers and pancakes.

The cashier was looking at me with sympathy. I'm sure she noticed my puffy eyes, but she didn't mention it. She just gave me a free milkshake and sent me to my usual table.

I didn't want to look too pathetic, sitting alone in the nearly empty restaurant. I decided to get out my phone and play Temple Run.

Someone suddenly asked, "Aren't you supposed to be on a date?" The distraction cased me to run into a tree. I looked up, about to yell at the idiot who made me die.

Intead, I was completely silent. Not who I was expecting. I found myself getting lost in those blue eyes. They were filled with concern.

He asked, "Have you been crying?"

I looked down, not wanting to relive my night. I was hoping that he'd leave me alone, but I knew he wouldn't. He never did.
