And They Called Her Mother

In a house by the sea,

What looked like a happy family,

really wasn't meant to be,

And they called her tragedy.

With the hands of a woman,

Who bore the poor baby,

came something too common,

Hoping God would save me.

They called her mother,

I couldn't trust her.

They said she was merciful,

though to me she was hurtful.

She was the best a mother could be,

A mother that only deceived me.

She tore a family apart,

only breaking my heart.

She was loved by all,

And I would be the only one to fall.

Where there should have been love,

was only given from god above.

And what was a future,

Was given to her, the butcher.

I wasn't the girl I once was, I lost her.

And They Called Her Mother.
