Chapter 28

Chapter 28:

Selena’s POV:

It’s been 12 days since we got Jaden, and he’s been getting bigger. I love having Jaden in my life, and I can tell Justin and Kaylie were too.

Other than that, today was Kaylie’s 6th birthday and we were having her birthday in the park that was in our community.

While Justin, Ryan, Brian, my mom, Pattie, Tori and Andy were setting up in the park, I was at home with Jaden, and Kaylie and Demi and George decided to come over also.

“Mommy where are we going?” Kaylie asked.

“It’s a surprise sweetie.” I smiled as I buckled Jaden in his car seat.

Jaden was sleep. One thing I learned about him, he sleeps and eats, and poops a lot. Luckily he’s not that much of a whiner.

“Auntie Demi, where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise.” Demi laughed.

“George, where are we going?” Kaylie asked.

“I don’t know.” George smiled shrugging his shoulders.

“Ugh, y’all are hopeless.” Kaylie sighed.

“Aren’t you gonna ask Jaden now?” I joked.

“Mommy, Jaden is sleeping and plus babies can’t talk.” Kaylie stated.

“Wow you sure are smart.” I smiled kissing her forehead.

“Thanks mommy. I think the birthday girl deserves to be told where you will be driving her.” Kaylie smiled.

“Ah, nice try missy, but I’m not saying a word.” I chuckled. “Now lets all get in the car.”

I grabbed Jaden’s car seat, and Kaylie offered to grab his diaper bag, and we all walked (well Demi more like waddled) to the car.

I put Jaden in the back, and Kaylie sat in the middle, with George near the other door. Demi sat in the passenger side and I sat in the driver’s seat.

The park was literally a 2 minute drive so it wouldn’t take long, and I won’t have to hear Kaylie complain on asking where are we going, where we are taking her.

When we pulled up to the park, I told her to close her eyes, and I grabbed Jaden out of the car, Demi grabbed the diaper bag, and George helped Kaylie walk to the picnic table where her party was set up.

I saw everyone was there smiling, including some of Kaylie’s friends from her class.

“SURPRISE!” Everyone screamed and Kaylie took off her hands from her eyes and screamed.

She saw Justin and ran up to him and hugged him.

“Happy birthday princess.” He smiled.

Kaylie got out of Justin’s gripped and went over to hug her grandparents, then went to go hug Ryan, Tori and Andy, then went over to join George and the rest of her friends.

Demi and I walked up to the group of grownups.

“Is he still sleeping?” Justin asked looking down at Jaden as I put him on top of the picnic table.

“Yep; He loves to sleep. I’m starting to think he is truly your son.” I laughed.

“He might be.” Justin laughed back.
