even the gentlest pressure,
of a leg touching another,
of the air between our shoulders,
of the words you left unsaid,
even the roughest caress,
of a blurted joke,
of an angry cry,
of That One Conversation,
even the changing truths,
in( 'are you still sick' and 'i don't hate you' and 'you'll do fine' )side,
weren't enough to keep us aligned.
even though the world pushed us together,
you pushed us aside.
