you told me
falling is fun
when someone is waiting to catch you
you told me
nobody has to cry alone, and
a broken heart and its pulsing pain
teasing its way through spiderweb veins
doesn't need to split your smile
you told me
those thorns growing around your lungs
don't let it build
you told me
you are at sea in a storm
and i am a lighthouse
so tell me, why did you turn off your light?
