step 1:
start with an empty black background. 512 x 800. add the first house stock into the black background and blend it out using the eraser tool > opacity 65%. make sure any sharp lines are erased out.

step 2:
add the door stock on the right and add the house stock to the left. again blend them out softly so the sharp corners do not appear.

step 3:
add the roses image to the cover and change the image mode to darken
