I poured another glass of wine, attempting to listen intently to the conversation at hand. I was struggling to focus, due to the fact that the only thing that had been on my mind was the love triangle i'd gotten myself into. I was worried about August finding out about Mack, without a doubt. I wasn't trying to get my ass beat, or see Mack's obituary in the Sunday paper, and I knew that was all that was gonna become of this entire mess. Kayla nudged me and my eyes fluttered open. I hadn't even noticed that i'd closed them. Everyone's eyes were on me as I snapped out of my sudden trance.

"Huh?"

Her face contorted into a look of confusion as she spoke. "I said are you okay. You haven't said a word all night, and it's really not like you."

I fingered the rim of my wine glass before downing it completely. If I was gonna vent, I was gonna need a slight buzz to do so. A drunk mind speaks sober thoughts.

"Oh, shit. Spill it, girl." Alonzo sat up with his attention completely on me as everyone did the same. Gio sat down her bowl of icecream as Val stretched out on the floor, looking up at me. We were engaged in our Saturday night festivities of gathering and discussing our problems, and hell....I had plenty to share. I sat up on Val's couch, sighing.

"I had sex with Mack."

Everyone's eyes widened as gasps of surprise filled the living room.

"The guy from the club?"

I nodded at Kayla before throwing my head back onto the plush cushion of the couch.

"But the question is, was it worth you getting your ass beat by Ant?" Alonzo looked at me, anticipating my answer. I bit my lip and looked down, until I was no longer able to with hold the information.I couldn't help but to slightly smirk.

"I give it a strong 8 out of 10."

They all squealed , rambling off all at once, as Alonzo straight faced me.

"What you mean 8 out of 10? Bitch, what happened to the other two numerical values?"

I shrugged, placing my hands into my lap.

"I mean, he was good.....but he wasn't no August."

They all groaned as I gently bit my lip, looking down.

"Girl, Ant is fine as hell, but can we just get off of his ass for one second?"

Valerie nudged Alonzo, who gave a confused look.

"What? I'm just saying."

I sighed and got up to pur myself another glass of wine in the kitchen, but all these bitches were hot on my trail. I turned around, causing for all of us to collide into eachother.

"Is there a reason y'all are following me?"

"I know you ain't think this conversation was over."

I huffed before continuing to the kitchen.

"Well, what about Kayla and Chris? We weren't done talking abou-"

I was cut off by Kayla, who was eyeing Gio as she grabbed another container of take out. Gio had always been able to throw down, without ever gaining a pound. Literally, she had the appetite of a nigga.

"I talk about his ass every Saturday. I was done anyway, so stop tryin to avoid the situation at hand."

I rolled my eyes before bringing the glass to my lips.

"Well, it doesn't matter anyway. I'm not sure if I wanna be in a relationship with Mack." Honestly, I felt a little hoeish for throwing it out for him so soon. Valerie sucked her teeth as she made her way to the fridge.
