Where Is My Mind?

I was born a long long while ago

In a city covered in carnage

I had a head, two arms and legs,

And a body all of flesh and blood

I had two parents, and a name

I was a normal newborn child

I had a normal life and routine

But my fate was abnormal

I was destined to get lost

And confused in the pain

People around me could see

That I was a contagious disease

Everywhere I went, people died

Slowly my thoughts turned to mush

I forgot how to think

Mixing emotion with commands

I no longer knew who I was

And as soon as I realized this

I was already too far gone

Life was a rushing river

And I was caught in it's current

Spiraling out of control

Losing myself so very easily

Eventually I was forcefully halted

And I was punished for my crimes

Left to wonder in solitude,

Where is my mind?
