You've Forgotten Us

Forgotten and abandoned

That is what we are

No one wants us

No ones ever cared

We die alone

No one remembers

No one knows us enough

But when one of us mistakes

You make us know it

You tell us its all our fault

You would have been better

But you had nothing to live for

You say you love us

You say you always have

You swear that you want us

You say you'll be there

We just have to behave

Be perfect for you

And you'll show us love

You'll even forgive us

All we have to say

Is that we lied

You didn't do that to us

And we do lie for you

To regain your love

But once its all over

The buzz has died off

You're still the same

You haven't changed

And you make us pay

For all of our wrongs

So we aren't surprised

When you don't cry

Not a single tear for us

You just look on us silent

You watch everyone else

Then men carrying us

Your friends mumbling

Is hiding and waiting for you

Waiting to be discovered

To be taken back to that place

While you see our friend through

You watch them be buried

Disappearing into cold hard earth

Body to soon be eaten as a snack

And carcass to be used for shelter

We aren't surprised at what we have done

So why are you?

You made us like this

Conditioning us to not feel pain

To never cry when you hit us

And when you slid your fingers in

We were told not to scream

We were perfect dolls

And now that we're gone

Who will console you?

Is anything still sacred for you?

After all you know who we are

We are the lost

We are the forgotten

We are the beaten

We are the assaulted

We are the dying

We are the porcelain dolls

We are the toys

We are the children

And you are the persecutor
