We used to stay up so late
Talking until we fell asleep
Lasted all through midnight's darkness
For each other we eluded sleep
Now you say you are so tired
While you slumber on oblivious
I still lie awake 'til midnight passes
Thinking all I want to say to you
I used to be your everything
But now I know I miss you most
Anything I'd give for you
To love me the way you once did
So I wonder and ponder and reflect
Trying to find the moment it changed
The moment I lost you
The one where you slipped away
I lie awake past midnight
You sleep without a worry
I try to sleep, forget I care
But I still feel what once was so strongly there
