Beautiful

As I lay,

Peacefully in my bed,

The sound of rain well overhead,

I was carried into sleep,

With sounds dancing in my head,

"What a beautiful sound",

The woman next to me said.

Soon we both lay resting.

Without warning,

Without hesitation,

The room began to shake,

Loud thunder shredded the sky,

I woke with a wild look in my eye,

"My God. What a beautiful sound.",

The woman next to me said.

Soon we both lay resting.

Untill once again,

Thunder exploded outside once more,

This time the wind began to roar,

As I sat up,

Worried if I should act,

I heard a calm voice that seemed well intact,

"I cannot believe what beautiful noise we have this night."

The woman next to me said.

Soon we both lay resting.

Sirens began to screech,

Something wasn't right,

I dashed out of bed,

Out the window I gazed,

To my horror and dismay,

It was a massive tornado heading my way.

Panic soon filled me as I turned to the woman,

"How can one be afraid of such beauty?"

She asked me sternly,

"There's nothing to be afraid of, it's just the world doing it's duty."

I contemplated the words,

With sounds dancing in my head,

The woman next to me said,

"Just come back to bed".

Soon we both lay resting.
