She Sat

Awkwardly enveloped in a silence she produced.

It made her uncomfortable.

Yet it was a daily routine.

She replayed the moments of her morning and how much she dreaded preparing for school.

She visited the fading memory of her first few classes and encounters with her friends and teachers.

She still had the mind numbing weight of her least favorite moments of her day hanging about her head.

She sat for a moment and pondered why she was even pondering such topics.

For her day was done she could do as she wish.

Yet she resided in her mind with meaningless moments playing about.

Till she pondered herself to sleep,

Just to do it all again the next day.
