Sunday dawned with gloomy skies. It wasn’t the sight that Celeste had wanted to wake up to since the competition finals was only hours away. She leaned against the window and looked up at the cloud covered sky. Rain drops were running down the window pane and Celeste found herself flowing the path with her pointer finger. She was lost in her thoughts about how the competition would end that she hadn’t known that Nate came up behind her. He slipped his arms around her waist causing her to jump just a bit.

“What are you doing?” he whispered resting his chin on her shoulder.

“Just thinking” Celeste shrugged

“About?” Nate asked

“How the competition is going to turn out.” she answered looking over at him. “I keep thinking that we’re going to lose to Brianne – like always.”

“Don’t think like that,” Nate chastised “You need to believe that you’ll win and even if you don’t, you still got to do something that you love to do.”

Celeste sighed and nodded “You’re right. You are absolutely right.” Turning in Nate’s arms Celeste wrapped her arms around his neck. “What would I have done without you if you couldn’t make it this weekend?”

“You’d be sitting here moping around because you’d be to worried about losing to Brianne to think about anything else.” Nate replied

“Yeah, you’re probably right.” Celeste grinned “Thank you for being here.”

“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” he whispered

“We are so turning into one of those cliche-cheesy couples.” Celeste groaned but, Nate could hear the smile in her voice.

“I blame it on all the cliche-cheesy things going on around us.” Nate commented “It’s everyone else’s fault.”

“Yeah, blame it on them.” Celeste giggled “You’re terrible.”

“Whatever you say. Now let’s go get some breakfast before Brooklyn and Jay eat everything that I ordered.” Nate chuckled

“Yes, let’s. Those two could wipe out a whole buffet if they had the chance. I still have no idea how that heck Brook eats so much, she’s so tiny.” Celeste said

“She get’s that from me,” Nate smiled proudly.

“That’s not the only thing she get’s from you” Celeste mumbled under her breath.

The couple walked into the sitting area and found Brooklyn and Jay scarfing down the food on the table. Celeste didn’t know how either of them could eat so much, it was such a weird thing to see. She thought she would be used to Jay’s appetite by now since she had known him for years but, it always amazed her how much food he could consume in one sitting. Now she had another persons eating habits to be in awe over and it was a two year old little girl.
