~~~Dylan~~~
My phone vibrated on the nightstand beside me. I blinked and opened my eyes, wiping away the tiredness. Without moving from the position I was, I grabbed my cellphone.It was a text message from Skylar.
It read: Let's hangout...now? ;)
I flinched at the unnecessary winky face. They always made me uncomfortable for some reason, like I was a victim of some perverted activity. But I know Skylar only means well, although she can be a little wild at times.
 I internally groaned and looked at the time. 2:07. Damn, was it really that late? Seldom I woke up early on the weekend. I spend my weekdays studying and preparing for college, rarely getting any sleep at all. I'm not much of a social bird anyways. My happiest times are when I'm left alone in the house on a Saturday, reading classics, writing poetry, freeing my mind.
I text Skylar back and dress. I make sure to put on long warm jeans. It's gotten a bit chilly outside lately. I find mom downstairs at the kitchen table and tell her where I'm going. She kisses me on the cheeks.
"Well, have a good time sweetheart. Don't forget to call me and tell me when you're coming home."  She says this without looking up from her magazine.
I roll my eyes at how over protective she is. I'm too old to be treated like a little kid. I agree to call her anyway and make my way out the front door, when I see a dark red truck pull up in my driveway. A boy gets out, one that looks awfully familiar. Rodney? Randy? Roscoe? I couldn't recall his name.
  "Hey," he greets when he sees me. " Is Annabelle home?"
I narrow my eyes. " She's home. Who are you?"I didn't mean for it to come out rude but I don't exactly know him.  He looks down at his feet. " Ronnie," he replies shyly. "Annabelle's boyfriend."
My eyes widened. I never knew she had a boyfriend. If she did, I'm sure she would have told mom and I. I bit my lip, looking at Ronnie thoughtfully. He was an attractive guy, with red hair, pale skin, and light green eyes. His clothing style wasn't so bad either. I almost seemed to nod, as if to approve of him.
"I didn't know," I said awkwardly. "She's in her room, my mom's in the kitchen. Introduce yourself."   He smiled and I walked past him, slapping him on the back.
"Hey," I yelled, before jumping in my car. " Be kind to her, okay?"
He almost smirked but nodded at me and went inside. I slightly shrugged and drove off.Ten minutes later, I was in front of Skylar's house.  Her house was quite large to mine, which was on the smaller scale. She came from a wealthy family.
I knocked on the wooden door, which opened on the third knock. No one was inside though. How could that be possible? I pushed it open further and walked in. Inside was massive, the furniture was mostly modern and everything was white. I've been here quite a few times. Her family is the nicest people I've ever met.
"Hello?" I ask, hoping Skylar would present herself. I began to call her on my cellphone when suddenly, someone jumped on my back. "Oh God," I squealed, falling on the ground. Skylar fell off of me, laughing like a maniac. "Oh my," she said holding her stomach. " I wish I saw your face but you squealed like a girl."
I quickly stood up. "Haha, very funny," I pouted but couldn't keep from smiling. " You got me. Was that your revenge on me for leaving you?"
She laughed a few times more and sat up. " Hell no. I've got something better," she smiled maliciously. I was kind of afraid. "You're going to that party Sunday, right?"  she asks me as I help her stand up. "Tomorrow, I mean. Everyone's going."
I'm sure everyone's not going. It's like saying Everyone's Doing It, when in fact mostly everyone isn't doing it. Anyways, I don't understand why it has to be on a Sunday, a school night. Mom wouldn't let me go. She would rather me study.
" No," I say simply and go to sit on her completely white couch.
" No," she whined. " You have to." She followed me onto the couch and plopped herself right next to me.Her big brown eyes couldn't faze me.I grabbed the remote and turned on the television, which was flat screen by the way. Big shock.
"You have to," she whined again. Oh God, this is like Sil and the gay bar all over again.  I began to speak but she shh'd me with her finger.
"No, you're going. It's already determined." She grinned and saw my facial expression, which wasn't reflecting hers.
"Oh, please." she said. " You stay home way too much. It's time to live a little, okay? You only live once anyways." She glared at me. "YOLO," she whispered which made me chuckle.
I think the term YOLO was overused these days but it still made me smile whenever she said it. "Fine," I agreed. I was frustrated that I was so susceptible but like she said, I could live a little. Maybe I could persuade my mother to let me go this one time.
" Thanks," she beamed, giving me a peck on the cheek. " By the way, my sex god is coming."
I was confused. Sex god? Then it came to me. She was bringing Andrew. Well, this was certainly going to be interesting.
