~~~ Dylan~~~
Fourth period was finally over and it felt like my classes droned on forever. As I was walking to my locker, Mr. Reed calls out my name. I sigh heavily and walk slowly back to him. " I forgot to hand this to the you in first period. " He hands me a huge packet, weighing about five pounds, that reads " Literary Arts Project 3A. "
I drop my mouth and look up at Mr. Reed as he adjust his glasses. " This is the third quarter's project assignment. Review the entire packet at home and I'll make sure the whole class does; We're going to have a small test next Wednesday, okay? It's worth half of your grade, Menecio."
" What the hell," I mutter. I nod my head towards Mr. Reed and walk towards my locker. Projects are so stupid. I slam my books inside my book bag and silently mope to my Volkswagen. Sil comes running out of nowhere yelling, " Hold on!." He's clutching a ton of textbooks in his hand, which fall to the ground. Seconds after, he trips and falls too. This boy is known for falling everywhere, even though, as seen with the naked eye, there might not be anything in his way. A bunch of students giggle and some girl helps him up. She smiles and he thanks her. The girl rushes back to her group and they all do this fake laugh that I find very annoying.
I don't get what everyone sees in Sil but he's one of the popular students in the school. I don't understand. He's clumsy, random, loud, obnoxious, weird, homosexual, annoying, disorganized, the list could go on. I keep thinking this until he comes rushing towards my car, breathing hard. I push open the passanger's door and he sits. He stares at me with wide eyes. " I hope you didn't see what just happened there."
I crack a smile. I've noticed my spirits almost light up whenever I'm around him. " Oh, Sil, I think everyone just witnessed what just happened there."
"Fuck."   He piles his textbooks on his lap and sits back on the seat, closing his eyes. I notice his hair is dark and tangled and dripping in sweat.  I grimace. He must have had track last period. He's  always been such a sports person. Last year, he was captain of the softball's team while also playing lead role in the school play. To be honest, I would rather stay home and read.
 "I was wondering if I could spend the night at your house. Only one night. " he asks.
" Why?"
" My parents are going to this business trip today and they won't be back until tomorrow. I would stay home like any other normal day but..." he sighs. "My parents don't trust me at all so they're retards!"
I chuckle." I would do the same. You're fucking out of control."
He gives me puppy dog eyes. " Please?" I give in to his adorable face and agree. " Ah, thankyou! I love you so much." He reaches across and squeezes me into a a hug. I moan but in pleasure.
" Let's go then." I back out of the parking space. Sil begins gossiping about the boys on the football team but I don't really care. I hate when he talks about other guys. I mean, I would think all the guys on the team would be straight. He doesn't even have a chance. But then again, football is kind of a homosexual game, with all the touching and grabbing between boys....
"...I was thinking about joining the football team." he said mindlessly.
I quickly jerked my view to him. " You're kidding me. You're going to get killed out there. You're going to be squashed like an ant, you know that right?"
I looked down to his slender body. His skinny wrist were covered with watches and leather belt bracelets and beneath them, I saw our friendship bracelet.
Sil laughed awkwardly but didn't respond. After some minutes of silence, I pulled into my driveway and led Sil through the door.
Mom was cooking something in the kitchen. The smell drifted through the whole house to our noses.
"Mmm," Sil sniffed deeply, while rubbing his stomach. " Cooking something good, Mrs. Menecio?"
"Oh!" I hear my mother say. She came out from the kitchen, dressed in a very old fashioned apron. She smiled at us both. " Hello, Dylan, Sil, how was school?"
" Can we just go upstairs, mom? Sil's staying the night."
She gave me a look and I ignored it. " C'mon." I say and pull Sil upstairs.
" Good seeing you again, Mrs. Menecio!" Sil yells. We're already upstairs before mom gets to reply. I open my bedroom door, place Sil's bags on the floor and shut the door behind me. The light flickers on.
"Woah, your room is messier than mine." Sil comments. I try to look around my room through someone else's eyes. Clothes on the floor, candy wrappers on the desk, textbooks scattered on the bed. It doesn't look too bad. I shrug. " I didn't know there would be company today."
Sil places his phone on my drawer and walks over to my bed . He picks up one of my pants, folding it neatly. He opens my dresser and places it inside. I narrow my eyes. " Are you seriously cleaning my room?"
" Problem?" he asks, then smiles. He picks up a pair of jeans and makes a face when he pulls out a piece of folded paper. I sigh and start to make up my bed. " What's that?" I ask.
He opens it and reads it out loud. " Andrew Sykes, 240-279-6678. Oh my love of ham, he's sexy!" He looks up at me and then back at the card. " Is this the boy you met at the..."  I froze.
" Goodness, where's my phone!?" he furrows his eyebrows but then looks somewhere behind me. Oh fuck, Sil's going to call Andrew, I think.  He can see the panic in my eyes.
Suddenly, he runs towards my drawer but I run in front of him too and he slams against me. " No!" I yell, "Don't call him!"
Sil's on the ground, moaning in pain. He looks up at me and pulls my leg, which makes me fall too. "Why not?" he asks.
 I fall pretty hard on my back but still catch Sil when he gets up and reaches for his phone. His fingers are inches away until I grab his waist and he falls on me. His legs fall between mine and I flush with embarrassemnt for a minute. He sits up and pins my arms on the ground so that I was unable to move. I start to get frustrated. How can someone so skinny be so strong?
 I stop struggling and look up at him. He smiles and leans down closer to me. His soft, warm lips hover above my cold, pale ones. My heart was beating so fast I was sure he could feel it beneath his chest. He slowly kissed me, just a peck on the lips and I froze. Sil giggled and got up to retrieve his phone. " And that's how you do it, " he sang out loud.
I leaned up against my elbows, with my eyes opened wide. " How can you just...? I shake my head, clearly puzzled. " I'm not...Andrew goes to our school, you know. Today was his first day."
Sil stopped dialing and looked down at me, " What? Why didn't you tell me?"
 " I was going to before this brawl happened." I slowly got up and sat on my bed.
 His eyes followed me as I fell back on my bed looking up at the ceiling.
" Well, this is perfect. I mean, you can totally hook me up with him. Right, you don't mind?" A smile slowly  took over his face as he looked back at the card." Who wouldn't want this babe?"
 I sighed and looked at him with annoyance. " Who cares?"  Who cares, right? It's not like I like him or anything. I completely approve the image of Sil and Andrew together. In fact, I think It's cute. " Sure," I said. " I don't mind."
