Chapter Nineteen

As if on cue I heard my phone ring.I plucked it from my pocket and flipped it open

"Is that a flip phone?"Lily said.I nodded and pressed it to my ear

"I didn't think they made those anymore"

"Hey"I heard Clifford's voice through the phone.I held the phone tighter to my ear almost immediately

"How did you get my number"

"You remember that day you lost your phone?"He said

"It should have stayed lost.A fucking flip phone"Lily said

"Lilly shut up and go play house"I said shooing her away.She blushed and said

"Yeah sure missy"She turned on her heel flipping her blonde hair and back inside.

"You went through my phone?"I said softly.I sounded weak,and pathetic.I shouldn't be feeling this way around him.

"It's not like there is anything valuable,its a flip phone."before I retorted with something thr was too obtrusive or harsh I caught my tongue.Clifford was the last person u was meant to anger.I just have away his Luna and hopefully we can get this conversation over on the phone

"Lily says you're on your way"

"Yeah I'm leaving in ten."

"Are you mad at me?"I asked in a soft whisper.

"We'll talk about it when I get there"He said.

"Okay."I agreed.

"I'll see you soon"

"I lo...."I covered my mouth in utter embarrassment.

"Hazel?"I heard his voice through the phone.

"Yeah."I answered.I felt tears prickle my eyes and I shook then away.

"What were you saying"

"I look forward to it"I said covering up the truth.

"Okay,bye"He said,and before I could at a bye again he hung up.I stared at my phone with my fingers on my lips.

I almost said I loved Clifford.It wasn't true,at least I think it wasn't.It was just a common mistake that happens to the best of us.I walked inside to find Lily playing with her cute daughter with Thomas just watching the two of them in complete love.Everyone knows Thomas is pretty possessive but when he has his mate,and his daughter,he looks like the happiest person in the world.It make me want that happiness

"Come on Emma"She said playing with her baby lips.Little Emma giggled and grabbed her mothers finger.

"Do you want to hold her?"She asked.

"No I'm good"

"Hold her.Trust me it's amazing"Lily said handing her to me.I was so afraid of babies.I never really had a mother so I wouldn't know how to be one.

"Ready?"She asked as Lily hovered Emma above my fingertips.

When Emma went into my hands I lost my breath,literally.She was so adorable,so precious.

"She's a pureblood"Lily said.I looked back at little Emma

"No way"I smiled.Thomas nodded
