Chapter 7

Conner's point of view

As I walked down the hallways, I kept thinking to myself, Why do I keep feeling like someone is watching me?

It was kinda creepy, since me and Alex are always being watched. The masked man, morina, the witches, all kind of evil stuff. Luckily, we defeated them all. Now, I was standing l front of the door. I opened it, and I could see that she was yelling at....nobody.

¨Woah what the heck is going on?¨I said to Alex, buuuut she didn't hear me.

¨I don't want you in my head, get out! What do you mean, I'm destined to become darkness?¨she was yelling.

WHAT!? Alright, she took it too far. Alex's starting to worrying me. What kind of darkness?

I walked over to her, and(against my own will) slapped her across the face.

¨Alex! Snap out of it!¨ I shouted.

¨Conner!¨ she gasped.

I have to admit, I pity her. Alex looks so stressed about something. But what?

¨Alex...¨ I said slowly, ¨What was that about? You worried me there.

She stayed silenced for a moment before answering my question.

¨It's a long story.¨ she said.

Since when did Alex started saying that? She's always good at talking.

¨I have time. Just tell me.¨ I said.

Before she could start talking, the same doctor came in again.

¨Miss, Bailey, you may be dismissed.¨ he said.

¨Alright!¨ Alex exclaimed, jumping out of bed, the wincing, forgetting that she was still in pain.

¨Just remember Miss Bailey, you must at least stay in your house for at least 3-4 weeks before you can go to school again,¨ he said, looking concerned. ¨Just for safety measures.¨

¨Yeah, yeah I know doctor.¨ she said.

¨Alright then, have a great day you two.¨

¨As we walked down the hallways, I said to her, ¨Now can you tell me?¨ raising an eyebrow.

¨How about I tell you when we get home,¨ Alex said sleepily, her head on my shoulders ¨I'm feeling tired right now.¨

¨Sure.¨

We met Bree and Arthur at the main entrance. When they saw us, they jumped up from their seats and walked towards us.

¨Alex, how are you feeling? Better?¨ Arthur asked with a smile on his face.

¨Yeah, I feel alright,¨ she said, and for the first time since that car incident, smiled.¨Except for my cast here.¨

I don't know why, but to me, it seems like a fake smile to me. Was there something going on with her that I don't know?

It was silenced for a moment, then Bree broke the silence.

¨So...should we get going here? It's getting night time here.¨

¨Yeah.¨ we agreed.

We walked to the parking lot, but I insisted that maybe Alex should take it easy on herself and let me carry her on my shoulders.

¨What are you talking about Conner?¨ she said to me ¨I can walk. There's nothing wrong.¨

¨Yeah, but...you are still in pain. Remember, you cringed when you hopped out of bed.¨

¨Oh that? That's nothing. I'm feeling fine now.¨ she said, walking past us.

¨Come on Alex,¨ Arthur said, trying to reason with her ¨Maybe you should listen to your brother and-¨

¨There is nothing wrong with me, ok!?¨ she yelled, turning around. ¨I'm fine! Yeesh Arthur, when did you started getting bossy around me? Next thing you know, I'll be asked to carry your things!¨

The three of us stared at her in shock. Alex never acted so angry like that. What was going on here? There was a moment of shock hanging around the air. Alex then turned around, walking away from us.

What was going on with Alex?

At the Fairy Palace meeting...

¨He's not picking up,¨ Jack said in the meeting ¨You think there's something going on back in the Otherworld?¨

¨Don't say that Jack!¨ cried Emerelda. She was already stressed out ever since she had that vision.

¨Emerelda, calm down,¨ Violetta said, putting her hand on the poor stressed out fairy ¨I'm sure everything's fine in that world.¨

Everybody, including Jack and Goldilocks were called for a meeting in the palace by Emerelda.(except for Mother Goose; she was still in Camelot.) Once everybody had settled in, she told them about her dream of a great disaster coming. Except for the twins, Bree and Arthur, they're already worried of this.

¨You don't understand!¨ the green fairy said ¨In my vision, it was horrible. The fairy tale world is destroyed, the Otherworld is controlled by the witches! We need to tell those four right now before it's too late.¨

¨I think you're already too late.¨ said a voice behind them.

It was Morina.
