Chapter 3: The Difference

I made my way to the library quicker than lightning just in time but now I had to look for her in the huge library. I think the most interesting place in the academy is the library because it has so many books containing all types of history that makes your mind go back in time. As a first year, you can see everything the library has to offer except the limited rows which are the ones that contain the history of Southern England and the Magnate Kingdom. To understand the local history, we need to learn of European History intensely and World History in general. I didn't have a problem learning of that history because of my parents that love that history. I walked through all the rows until I spotted a girl that had a resemblance of Nathan Cross on one of the limited rows. Wait! Isn't she a first year? Aren't first years not allowed in this area? If so, when I was a first year, I should have just entered it and not be afraid if I got caught.

Emma looked up to my direction and waved at me as if she already knew me. I noticed how much alike she looked with Nathan but the only different feature would have to be the niceness and pureness in her eyes, not superiority and bitterness like Nathan. She didn't give off the superior attitude like her brother. Physically is another story because she has the same light brown hair like Nathan, blue-green eyes and tall for her age, which is 5'8. She looked like she was looking for something specific so I came to her to help her out.

"Hey, are you my tutor, Victoria Preston?" She asked me and I nodded, which caused her to instantly smile

"Hi, I'm Emma Cross and I'm on the 8th grade but better yet known still as a first year" she laughed and I smiled

"Nice to meet you, I'm Victoria which you would know anyway since I'm tutoring you" I let out a chuckle

"At least is someone else other than my brother Nate. You know him, right? Since he's in your class and all but also because he likes the attention of everyone" she said while joking at the end

"Yes, I know him and he's in all of my classes. And it's no secret that he likes all the attention" I joked back

"I know he likes attention but also he likes to be right and not wrong. Just let me know if he gives you a hard time and I'll give him a piece of my mind" she said trying to sound serious

"I will but would your brother be scared of you? You seem too nice" I said truthfully

"Yes, he would be and I am nice but when it comes to Nate, I can be a nightmare to him" she winked at me which left me chuckling

"Wow, you're the opposite of Nathan. You don't give off that bitter attitude like he does" I said which then caused her to be a bit confused

"He may seem like a jerk but that's because he likes to be right on everything and not have anyone disagree on him. By the way, I'm glad someone finally stood up to him at the class but at least know that he's actually really different from what he appears to be" she whispered

"Different how?" Now it's my turn to be confused

"Just different but listen, if we continue this conversation we will leave this library at midnight" she laughed at the end which snapped me back to reality

"Yeah, what do I have to tutor you about?" I asked curiously

"It's not exactly tutoring, it's more like help with opinions on my history project" she sat down on the floor which then caused me to sit across from her
