Chapter 2

"Babyyyyy hurry up!" Jade called for about the millionth time from the hall way

" damn girl give me a minute" I called back from the bathroom as I

washed my face.

Jade and I were headed to the mall on a Saturday, and it was going to be packed....she really hated crowded places but she promised me she'd go with me so, I could get this vest I've been wanting for weeks.

" it's about time" she said impatiently as I walked out from the bathroom " I think all that time you spent pretending to be a fem has rubbed off on you since you love to take your sweet time getting ready" she joked

" man shut up and let's go" I said playfully hitting her arm.

We walked out of my apartment and headed down the hall toward the elevator hand in hand. When the door opened an older woman was already in there and immediately looked down at out hands. Her facial expressions ranged from confused to disgusted. I could tell she was trying to figure out if we were both men or both women. I was dressed in a dark wash pair of skinny jeans with a button up and a fitted on, so you couldn't see my hair but I had a pretty face so when you looked at me you could tell I was a girl if you weren't stupid. Jade was wearing black joggers and a white hoodie with her dreads down looking fine as hell . You may not have been able to see either of our figures real well, but it was pretty clear we were women and it seemed to me that this old was just stupid. Jade took my hand and pulled me in close to her chest, we were both used to homophobic people, and sometimes when they acted ignorant Jade liked to make them uncomfortable. Jade hugged me from behind and placed her head on my shoulder. The old lady immediately looked away and Jade smirked

As we reached the ground floor the old lady dashed out of the elevator as soon as the doors opened and Jade and I bursted out laughing as we walked to her car.

" Did you see her face when I pulled you in close " she said cracking up

" swear the bitch was gonna lose

It" I said opening the passenger side door. Jade drove us to the mall as we talked about the old lady and our plans later in the day.

" so after the mall we're going to my place? " Jade said as we arrived at the mall" because if we are I need to text Amber and let her know just incase she has company over...." She said letting her voice trail off

Amber was Jade's roommate and sister who I adored, but the company she was referring to was Casey, Ambers current girlfriend and my kind of "ex". I had briefly had a thing with Casey when I pretended to be a fem, and when Jade introduced me to her sister and her girlfriend I almost had a heart attack, luckily Casey didn't notice who I was, but I didn't stay around for her to either and ever since then I had been avoiding Jade's place like the plague to avoid Casey. I told Jade this of course and she understood, but she also told me I shouldn't care so much what she thinks, and she also told me she really wants me to get to know Amber but I couldn't do that because Casey and Amber were almost inseparable.

" yeahhhh uh I don't know about that" I said getting out the car

" look you need to stop trippin and get over this shit...I told stop caring what Caseys going to think....unless you still have feelings for her" she said raising her eyebrow

" girl you know I didn't have feelings for her,so don't get your boxers in a bunch " I spoke as I playfully hit her arm

" yeah yeah come one lets find your shit and leave you know I hate malls." Jade said while picking up her pace

For the next half an hour we spent it roaming around the mall and getting the vest I wanted, but I could tell Jade was getting annoyed by all the people so I suggest we leave and get some food.

" so where do you want to go baby" Jade said as we turned the corner to head to her parked car

" I don't know but I ......" I stopped mid-sentence and my jaw dropped because there in the corner of the parking lot was Ray........kissing another stud
