The words whisper to you
Their hidden story
Hidden behind the gate
That is the printed word.
They speak of triumphs
Defeats
Love
Hate
Pain
Suffering
War
Hatred
Bliss
Beauty
Anonymity
But look closer
See within
See the knight saving the damsel in distress
Because he loves her
And not because it's his duty.
See the giant trying to make friends
But is unable to
For everyone is scared of him.
Look closer
See beyond the page
See the longing the characters have
To be free
Look deeper
Read yourself
A marvel
