CHAPTER 2

Angeline’s POV

         PLAY DEAD.

That was the first thing that came through my mind when I heard the stranger’s footsteps.  My

father told me that strategy before, and this could be a good time to use it. I could feel the presence

of the stranger near me. I think he’s already here. I took a very fast peek, looking at the stranger with a

very small opening that I allowed my eye to open and saw a…

        DOG..

A dog? A dog! That’s what has been scaring me all the time? Bullshit!. I was about to puke from

thinking of all the possibilities that could happen to me by the time the stranger sees me. And this

was all I was scared about?  A dog? But at least it wasn’t some psycho that would want to kill me or

something. I sighed as a relief. But.. I heard someone earlier. That couldn’t be the dog right? I have to

think of ways on how to get out of here before that stranger comes here and get me. I tilted my head

and saw a broken mirror.

What if I cut my leg off? My palm automatically slapped my forehead like it has its own mind. I

pushed the dashboard, kicking it with my good foot but it’s still not cooperating damn it! All of my blood

is heading through my head and within few minutes more I could be dead. The dog kept barking at me

endlessly. “Shut up!” I hissed at the dog but it was useless, it just kept barking at me.

“Drake is that you?” I heard a man’s voice speak. I knew it! They’re still here. I hurriedly took the

broken mirror and hid it in my back. I heard two people talking and their voice is getting louder. They

must be heading towards me. I closed my eyes and for the second time waited for them to come closer.

Drake’s POV

I saw a man standing in front of a car. His position looks like he’s readying for a battle in a very

awkward way.  I bursted out laughing when I realized it was Luke. He looks so scared like a baby. His

gaze shifted to me, with a frustrated look all over his face which made me laugh even harder.

“Drake is that you?” He said, walking towards me. His eyes squinted to see who I am. I saw him

holding a pen. Why would he need a pen?

“What.. is that.. for?” I choked on my laughing; pointing on the pen he’s holding. His eyes widened

and hid the pen he was holding.

“N-nothing. I was.. signing a paper earlier.” He said stuttering. I raised one eyebrow. “Really? In the

dark?”
