My father used to talk about his experiences in Korea when I was still a kiddo. Back then, I used to think that I can just walk by at the very end of the Philippines and I'll be seeing Korea next to it. My father worked in Korea for years that's why I am able to know some things about it. I've been reading Korean-English dictionaries (My father gave me his dictionary but I lost it! It was my MOST reliable dictionary!) when I was still in elementary up to know. That's why I'm a bit familiar. :)
But after so many years, I just find myself STILL lacking of knowledge about it.
Why?
Ohkay. My tito (my dad's friend who's now working in Korea) explained to me that you'll find it difficult if you're not able to USE it. You have to talk to a Korean/Hangul speaker to practice your skills. It will really take a loooong time if you just keep on reading references, watching videos and such. Think of it as "practical exam". :)
Anyway. You can still learn it the easy way. He suggested that learn reading and WRITING hangul at the same time. By this, you'll able to practice this in terms of WRITING. Oh daba? :">

na gago sipji ana = I don't want to go.

Uri galka? = Shall we go?
Na gal kuya = I'm going.
Na an gal kuya = Im not going
Kajima = Don't go
Na jigom gaya dwae = I have to go
Na jigom kok goya dwae = I have to go now.
Na gado dwae? = May I leave?
Na ganda = I'm leaving
Gaja = Let's go!
Yugi iseo = Stay here
Jinja jaemi issol guyeyo = It will be fun!
Noraebang gayo = Le'ts go to karaoke (KTV bar)
Syoping galkkayo? = Do you want to go shopping?
Nae il manal si itsolkayo? = Can we meet tomorrow?
Najung-e = maybe some other time
