Oh, I have such an evil idea for this...  People will probably hate me for that...  Heh heh.  Ah, well, Gaara is still my favorite sadistic psychopath, in't he your's too?

As my eyes open, I glance out the window.

It looks like about nine.

Arching my tail over my head, I stretch, glancing at the unmoving mass on the bed.

Hmph, lazy boy.

I poke his head.

He grunts, then relaxes agian.

"Shikamaru?"

He doesn't respond.

"Your ponytail's on fire."

Still nothing.

"Whatever dude, I have to go. It's too late to stay here."

As I move to open the door, I can't move, once again.

"Shi-ka-ma-ru!"

He grunts, and I roll my eyes.

"Get up, you lazy pony!"

He cracks one eye open.

"Did you just call me a pony?"

"Yes?"

He groans.

"Troublesome woman. Fine, lets go eat, then you can leave."

He gets up, slowly, might I add.

As we're walking to the kitchen, I see his mom outside, getting ready for the day.

Then we're in the kitchen, and I'm stuffing my face with anything I can get my hands on.

He sits there sleepily, watching me eat.

When I'm done, I stand up sharply, looking towards the door.

"Fine, let me look at your wound, then you can go."

He peels away the bandage, and a foul smell immediately inhabits the room.

"It appears to be infected."

I roll my eyes.

"It'll heal, I'm leaving."

I turn around, and he's looking at me critically.

"You have a lot of scars."

"Yes. Sunians aren't as accepting as Konohans."

Shikamaru nods, and steps away from the door.

I walk through it, lifting my hand in passing.

The door slids shut behind me, and I start off to the forest.

I travel quickly, and I've made good time for an hour.

However, I need a break.

I have barely moved for over a month, and my muscles aren't as strong.

So I stop, and immediately, I feel the vibrations from something moving in a large bunch.

My ears twitch, and it's clear.

I'm hearing sand.

Panicked, I start running again, thistime on my hands and feet.

On others, this may by akward, but I am slightly catish.

Suddenly, I freeze up, then change direction.

I was heading back to Suna.

With Gaara's sand control, I would be trapped.

The way I'm going, it will be harder to catch me.

But then, he probably has Kankuro going after me in another direction.

I might be caught either way.

But I keep running.

Too soon, I can see the sand, almost reaching my tail, streaming out behind me.

And what looks like an angry god lounging on the surface.

I try to run faster, but I can feel chakra strings starting to attatch to me.

Before they take effect, the sand closes around me.

It's like being squeesed between two blocks of cement.

A strangled sound escapes my throat, and I take the time to notice the sunlight.

The way it's streaming through the leaves and falling, golden, on the sand.

And then the pressure lifts some, sand entering the wound on my back.

Gaara seems to notice this new crevice, and sends a ball of sand into it.

He spreads it appart, forcing the torn flesh open wider.

His unattached look as he watches the convulsions his actions caused are rather shocking.

As he makes his way behind me, I notice I havn't seen Kankuro.

But he's obviously here, what else could have made chakra strings like that?

Gaara's voice tickles the back of my neck.

"Why did you leave?"

I move my head forward slightly.

"Temari told me to."

He snarls, and a sharp pain starts on the back of my neck.

He has bitten down on both sides of my spinal cord.

I tense slightly, then relax.

Gaara won't kill me.

He moves so he's standing in front of me, and I hear Kankuro gasp at the bite mark.

Gaara's face is in mine, and he's not happy.

When is he ever?

I can see my blood dripping down the side of his mouth, but I don't look away from his eyes.

"You listen to me first, and her after. I am your master, do you understand?"

His voice is very low, I almost can't hear it.

"Yes Master-sama. You first."

His eyes say he's satisfied.

"Good. Stay in the same residence as I do."

He lets me go, but keeps a bracelet of sand around my ankle.

And the sand is still in my wound.

I wince slightly, and Gaara gains a look of cruel amusement.

"Come clean off my face."

My mouth drops open widely, and I can't react.

This is my punishment, I'm sure.

His gase doesn't falter, so I look down and walk over to him.

My face is tomato red as I lap the blood off his chin, up his jawline.

He looks over my shoulder, smug victory in his eyes.

I glance in the same direction, and he's looking at Kankuro.

Kankuro looks pissed off.

Gaara fidgets slightly, my tounge is rough.

I shut my eys tightly as my tounge traces over the bottom of his lower lip.

I don't even have to open my eyes to know he's smirking, but I do anyway.

Shoving my ears down, I step back two steps, and stare at the ground.

The sand trickles out of my wound, almost like a reward.

The sand wraps around me again, but to lift me off the ground and carry me back to Konoha.

My vision is fading, and I can't help but think how nice it will be back in Suna.
