Don't you love Shi-kun?  He's such a lazy ass...  Anyway, Shikamaru'll be her new best friend!  No one can resist the power of cuteness.

I look around, and the Nara boy is standing there behind me.

"That's a rather extensive wound. You are going the wrong way for a hospital."

And here I thought I could get away with it.

"Yes, well, I don't want to go to the hospital, I want to stay in the forest.

He raises his eyebrows.

"Why do you want to leave so badly? Do you have something of ours?"

I roll my eyes.

"No. You can check me if you want, but make it quick. I want to be out of here in half an hour."

He nods.

"Why don't you stay with me for a while? Until you won't bleed a trail for whoever wants you."

I press my lips together.

"How long?"

He sighs.

"Troublesome, two days."

I sigh.

"Bothersome, One day."

"Fair enough. Come on, troublesome neko. My house is this way."

I dip my head, then follow where he goes.

He has a nice house, and a relaxing zen garden with a shogi board in the middle.

Looking around, I can't help but notice the large library.

After he cleans and bandages my wound, I look at the library again.

"You are a genius, yes?"

He shrugs.

"I'm smart."

"Teach me to read."

He glances at me in amusement.

"In one day?"

"I'm smart. I'll learn."

I see the smirk on his lazy face, and I smile.

"C'mon. I have to leave by noon tomorrow."

And after I smacked him upside the head a few times, I learned to read.

As we were looking through some translated Chinese proverbs, his mother called for dinner.

He sighed.

"Troublesome woman."

I laugh at him, pulling him onto his feet.

"All women are troublesome, Shi-kun."

His lazy smirk is back, and I push him into the house.

We sit through dinner, me avoiding as many questions as possible.

Which is rather hard, his mother asks three questions for every sentance.

The majority of which have something to do with being a ninja.

Soon enough, though, we go back into his room, retreating from the questions.

"I agree. Your mother is quite troublesome."

He laughs softly, before getting out a blanket and a pillow.

"You can use these, I'm keeping my bed, thank you."

I snort.

"I don't care, try not to snore."

He sighs exasperated, before slipping to sleep.

I smirk slightly, before following.

For once, I have no dreams.
