bucky when he finally finds you, it breaks his heart the sight he is met with. for the longest time ever you had been his only hope, the light at the end of the tunnel. now he's at the end of the tunnel only to find that his light is no longer illuminating. he stares down at your tombstone in agony, no pain hydra had inflicted upon him had ever felt like this. he knew what pain was, but this was not the same this was something bigger it hurt too much. bucky felt like there was no reason to live if you weren't alive then what was the point? what did he have to live for?
he wanted you and only you but you belonged to the skies now. he looked down where you lay and then up to the sky where he knew your kind soul was, "i love you y/n, i am so sorry i left because now i'm back all i wanna do is be with you but you're gone. i hope you're happy up there and i hope you remember i will always love you."
