bruce as tony's trying to convince him to finally ask you something he's been wanting to ask you since he first met you. tony's not an idiot, he sees the way bruce looks at you with such love it makes the metal man weep. you two are soulmates and tony needs bruce to see that, to see that you two were meant to spend the rest of your lives together.
it takes tony nearly an hour to push bruce through his nerves and conquer his fear that you'll say no, which you would never do. tony rests a hand on bruce's shoulder and offers him a final piece of encouragement which could change both your's and bruce's lives.
and finally bruce says, "i'm gonna do it, i'm gonna ask y/n to marry me."
