For now it was not just her whom had to readjust to this new world.

It took Jace revealing himself, from some sort of super cool invisibility spell, for Simon to realise that the twins weren't completely off their rockers and making this whole thing up. However, by doing so, Clary managed to somehow convince Jace to allow Simon into the building. Which was a bit of an abandonment of the whole keeping this a secret and not allowing any outsiders into the building.

Though, Simon's reactions to the building made up for this, they were the only thing keeping Evie even mildly interested in the conversation. She did think it was a terribly idea to bring Simon into this world though. Rather than being with them here where nothing was safe, he should be at home with his mom and sister just enjoying his teenage years, teenage life. He would have the ability to fall in love and have a family with some cute little jewish girl. Evie had this looming feeling that this wasn't exactly possible in this world and bringing Simon into it would ruin his life before he even got the chance to live it.

"Buddy, what's going on man? I'm not your type man." Simon always seemed to be the one to identify when something wasn't quite normal or something was out of place. But really? That comment was completely uncalled for. Clary seemed to take this moment to run Simon through everything which had been happening up to this moment in time. Well, try to explain what Clary had thought was happening at the present moment.

"It's sort of our thing."

"Our thing? Me you and Jace? Sounds kinda intimate." Evie shot back at her sister, taking a slight offence that Clary would assume that she would be willing to do whatever she was doing. Yes, Clary normally spoke and thought on behalf of the sister yet they hadn't actually talked between the two of them to even gauge how the other was feeling in that moment. For all Clary knew, Evie might have wanted nothing to do with this lifestyle and wanted out. This was not the case, Evie would follow her sister blindly wherever she went, but she was slowly becoming annoyed at the fact that once again she was being spoken for as if she was a child without their own formed opinions or ideas.

It was at this moment that the two Lightwood siblings descended down the staircase and into the hallway to come across the gabble of four. Evie couldn't help but stare at Isabelle as she walked down, sure she hadn't know then girl for even a full 24 hours yet but she found herself immensely attracted to her. She had no clue if the girl was older or younger than herself, what her favourite colour was or anything other than really her name and Evie guessed her profession. But this was something she was ready and prepared to spend the time working out.

Before she knew it, Clary had grasped Evie's hand in her own and began dragging the youngest Fray down the hallway in the direction of what was a supposed training room, Jace following not far behind the twins. Evie had no cue as to why Clary thought now would be the ideal time to learn to fight. After all she had just dragged her best friend, who was simply just a human not some freaky angel hybrid like themselves, into this messed up reality and decided to ditch him with basically strangers. Simon could get murdered during this time for all the two girls knew. Also Clary, nor Evie really, had an actual idea about anything that was going on in this world or much more than the simple basics, it would have made more sense that at this moment they should probably learn a little more. The learn to fight second.

However, Evie wasn't completely against it, she did love a good fight every now and again. Whilst her sister had fallen in love with the arts she had fallen in love with the art of fighting. She had taken a variety of martial arts during her childhood and teenage years, starting with Tae Kwon Do, moving to Ju Jitsu and Karate, having recently taken up boxing. Along side this she had trained with a variety of weapons including blades of multiple different weights and descriptions. It was also a nice thing to go against her twin sister, for Evie had such a high amount of pent up frustration and anger towards Clary that she could at least get some of it off her chest. Also landing a perfect right hook to Clary's face whilst her latest crush watched on just seemed perfect.

The two had barely begun to fight when another man walked through the door and to the mat. Evie had been throwing a pretty well executed turning kick to the side of Clary's head at this moment and abruptly stopped the kick in mid air holding it just inches from Clary's face. This new man was relatively tall with shaggy blonde hair and a matching beard. Burned into the side of his neck was a strange circular brand, that Evie had never seen on another Shadowhunter, not that she had seen tonnes but nether the less.

"That's hodge Starkweather, our weapons trainer." Jace spoke on the sly to the twins and Evie put her leg down becoming aware that his Hodge character required an audience. And some audience he received as he began to explain the process of the uprising of the circle. The circle being a group of Shadowhunter lead by Valentine with a superiority complex. Valentine was an evil man who thought of himself as the most superior and wished to change the balance of the world in the most vicious way possible, much like this worlds version of Hitler. Each time Hodge spoke he seemed to be in pain and despite begging for the three young adults to pause he did not stop proceeding to share as much of the history of the Shadowhunters as he could. This was all to enable the Frays to understand a bit more about the world they had been quite harshly forced into and the repercussions the actions of their mother and her friends had upon the world. Hodge tried to remain adamant that their mother was against what the circle had grown to become and was one of the 'good' guys. Evie didn't need this information knowing deep down that he was right but it was nice to hear it from another person. Angering Valentine by escaping with and hiding the Mortal Cup did seem like something her mother would do. Evie had no doubts that her mother would have left the circle as soon as she possibly could once realising that they had become something so rotten.

"I never knew my mother" Evie couldn't help but feel sadness for Jace, a mother's love is never something which should be withheld from a person. Sure she had no real memories of her father but this didn't matter for she had her mother and she had Luke. There had even been occasions whee Evie had even called Luke 'Dad" though they were few and far between. In Evie's opinion everyone should receive the love, care and affection that is provided by two parental figures in their life wherever possible. Sure single parents could raise children extremely well, look at what her mother did but having two parental figures is always easier especially for those figures as the amount of stress and energy used is reduced.

Jace then soon turned on Clary demanding that she knew more information than what she was letting on. Though Clary, just as stubborn and fiery, argued back stating she had a memory blank and was unable to recall anymore. Though this had caused Jace to turn towards Evie and start questioning her instead.

"You seem to know more than your sister does about this world, so tell me that you also know something more about your past." He all but demanded at her.

"I'm sorry Jace, I don't particularly like you, but even if I did I am of no more use. I may have small flashes of memory but I know nothing more than what our mother said to me when we talked very briefly about this world." She shot back very much done with his attitude. Also to prove to him she was about as blank on her childhood memories as her sister, after all who would lie about something so trivial as memories?

Therefore, the group worked on something else, another plan as such. They decided to hunt down Dot, who as Evie thought, was in fact a Warlock. The girls gathered as a group of three in Isabelle's room to get ready as what you wore around the institute was apparently not to be worn outside on a mission as such they were headed on.
