Alexis Johnson Henderson is a twenty-eight years old business woman, CEO of the Henderson Empire Hotel Group (HEHG). She had a few rocky relationships in the past and at the age of twenty-five she decided to give up on men altogether. When the thirty year old Marcus Jordan comes into her life and threatens to take down her business she's furious. The man is insufferable and has an ego larger than life He's the stepson of her father and seems to think he has every right to get a managing job at HEHG just the same as she does. But Alexis isn't easily intimidated and far too proud to give up on her dream job.
With a very strong and stubborn female lead and a sexy and intelligent male lead this story is an amazing read. Alexis and Marcus are so easy to get attached to and their steamy meetings are definitely something to look forward to. The plot is great and has some unexpected twists that keep you hanging on every word. If there's one thing I can walk away from this book with, other than what a great read it was, it's that I need a Marcus for myself...
