I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I stretched my body and yawned before immediately went to the bathroom to get ready.

It's my first day at school after all.

Frying eggs and making myself some tea for breakfast since the fridge is empty and I'm too lazy to go grocery shopping. Maybe I'll ask Ran to accompany me later in the afternoon.

I got on my skateboard and made my way to school while listening to music while sometime cursed at some driver.

As I arrived, I can see some eyes looking at me weirdly. Probably because of : 1. My skateboard ; 2. My unfamiliar face ; or 3. Something's wrong with my face.

After looking at my phone's camera, I decided no. 3 is not possible so I went for no. 1 and 2.

It is uncommon for students in Japan to go to school using a skateboard. Also, I'm a new student. It must be strange seeing my unfamiliar face in the middle of the semester.

I walked in and put my shoes in the locker quietly. Then I put my skateboard on top of the locker before going to the principal's office.

"Good morning!"
I said as I opened the door.

"Ah, you must be Kudo's sister! Take a seat, take a seat."
He offered kindly.

I did as I was told and listened to his words.

"So you will be in the same class as your brother. If I may ask, where is he? He's absent for quite a long time now."
He said.

"Oh, didn't mother tell you about it? He's stuck in a troublesome case. He won't be going to school for some time it seems."
I said.

"I see... oh, and, Kudo-san."
He said.

"Yes?"
I said.

"Have a good day at school."
He smiled kindly.

After some time, he took me to the class and handed me over to the home-room teacher.

"Hello everyone, my name is Kireina Kudo. I'm Shinichi's younger twin sister. Nice to meet you~!"
I said while smiling brightly.

After that, I was told to sit on Shinichi's seat since the new desk haven't been moved into the class.

"So you're Kudo's little sister?"
They started questioning me after the bell rung.

"Yup! That's me."
I smiled.

"But he never told us anything about you."
One of the boys said.

"It's typical Shinichi, he rarely talks about his personal business. Specially family business with others. He's a very careful person."
I explained.

"She's also overseas for most of the time. Probably why you haven't seen her."
Sonoko said.

"True true."
I nodded in agreement.

"So where is he right now?"
Ran asked.

"He's handling a troublesome and a pretty difficult case right now. That's why he's gone."
I smoothly lied.

"Are you also a detective maniac like he is?"
One of them asked.

"Me? I can't say that I am. But I'm into those stuffs too."
I shrugged.

"Really? Are you as good as Shinichi?"
One of the girls said.

"As good as him? Hmm... I think he wished to be as good as me."
I cheekily said.

After some time, it's finally time to go home. I mean... grocery shopping.

"Thanks for accompanying me today, Ran."
I smiled.
