Chasing Destiny

Chapter 9

Beau

She had been missing for three weeks. Three weeks of endless torture, living without her. We had searched everywhere for her, I had my best trackers looking, Redwood sent their best trackers, but no one found a trace of her. I could feel our bond, she was still alive. I prayed that she would be ok and that I would find her. I was standing in my office, staring at the map of our state, lines of each territory marked clearly and the ones we had thoroughly searched, crossed off. Tucker bursts through the door, he had been called away just before I found out Destiny was missing, to help a pack that was overrun with wounded from a rogue attack. "Tell me it isn't true, Beau. Tell me she isn't gone." He whimpered. I sighed, "No one has seen her in just over three weeks, we have searched everywhere in the state, the only places we haven't looked is the forbidden forest."

"Beau, you have to find her, like three weeks ago." He yelled and I snarled at him, "You don't think I know that she's my fucking mate, the love of my life. I need her." He shook his head, "You don't understand, she came to me right after you left, she's pregnant, Beau." The air was sucked from my lungs, Destiny was pregnant, with my baby. "Are you sure?" I asked weakly. He nodded, "She wasn't but we did a test, she was going to call you and tell you. She was scared but happy." I dropped into my chair, suddenly weak. "She's pregnant, fuck! Ok, we need to find her, we are going into the forbidden forest. Call the meeting, now." I barked out and he fled to the meeting room, frantically linking the pack.

As I entered, all attention snapped to me, "OK, pack, as you know, your Luna is missing. What I just found out is that she is pregnant. We need to check the forbidden forest. I know that you are all afraid and I will not force any of you to follow me in. I am going, she is my mate and is carrying my child." Tucker, Cam, Aden, and Corey immediately stepped forward. My head tracker, Emmett stepped forward as well. I nodded and we all took off for the forest of nightmares. It was a full days run to reach the forest, so we made camp just outside of it, we would go in fresh in the morning.

We were all sleeping, the night was dark and silent, until I heard footsteps. I sat up quickly to see Angie walking towards me with a sick smile on her face. "Oh, Alpha, I bet you want me now. You have no Luna, she's gone, never to be found again." I growled at her, "What have you done? Where is my mate?" Her laugh was cold and almost scary. "It's so much fun when your past finds your future." My brows furrowed until it clicked, Alex, my brother. He had her, that sick bastard. "I should have killed him and you when I had the chance!" I roared, rousing the rest of our group from their sleep. I lunged at her and she shrieked as I tied her up with silver infused rope, ensuring that she won't get loose.

"Now, you will tell me everything!" I told her, she began to cry and beg for her life. I laughed, "I am not going to kill you, you are going to be very useful to me, Angie. Now, tell me where he has her, now!" She sniffled, "There is a compound about ten miles from here, that is where she is and he has been torturing her since he grabbed her. I bet she is already dead." I slapped her hard across the face, "If she were dead, I would feel it. She is alive, now why did he take her?" She groaned, "To take the pack from you, obviously."

Loud growls were heard from all of us and Angie smirked, "You are all pathetic, she is just a wolf, nothing more, she can be easily replaced and yet you all seem to think that she is the moon. Why? What is so damned special about her?" Tucker snarled, "For one, she is our Luna, but beyond that, she is a wonderful person, good and kind. Something that you know nothing about. She isn't here to be in power, she is here because she loves Beau, she loves our pack!" She rolled her eyes, "If she was so in love with Beau, why did she spread her legs for Alex, she only wants power and it doesn't matter who has it. You are all blinded by her innocence, she's a whore and has been one for quite some time. Do you know how many men she took into her bed before she met Beau?"

I snarled, "Enough with your lies, Angie. She was a damned virgin when I mated her! I can feel her fear. Now you will be punished for your crimes." I mink linked some warriors from the pack to take her to the cells and some to help us storm the compound, I will be getting my mate and my child back. We planned our attack carefully and silently made our way through the forest, taking in our surroundings. When the compound came into view, I knew I could get in and out without a problem, it was an exact replica of our grandfather's compound.

"Alright men, let's go get our Luna back!" I roared before we slipped inside the compound.
