Hey there guys!! So I had some more inspiration for this little series :)

Vanitas observed his surroundings as he slowly made his way along the lunch line. Things had gone much more smoothly than he had expected them to, although it hadn't even been a full day since he managed to make his way here. If things continued to go just as smoothly as they seemed to everything would be okay soon.

He scanned all the tables, finally spotting you, and made sure to sit a few tables away. Just close enough so he could still observe. He couldn't help but feel like a stalker at the moment, but he definitely had a lot of experience snooping and sneaking around. He chuckled to himself as a few memories flashed to the forefront of his mind. After all, he was the one that was here for you and not anyone else. Besides, he scoffed to himself, he doubted any of the others would be able to do this properly without messing up. And none of them really knew you, at least not in the way he did.

He looked up to gaze at you as you sat laughing and talking with your friends. No... friends wasn't the right term to use. All of the people here weren't even real to begin with. Well they were to you, but in reality it was much different. As his golden eyes scanned over all the different faces he saw he couldn't help but think how uncanny the similarities between all the people here and your friends back home were.

He poked and prodded at the food on his tray, debating what to eat first. He picked up one of the fries and stuffed it into his mouth and took a bite of his cheeseburger. It was the exact same mixture of disgustingly greasy but incredibly satisfying as it usually was. He slowly finished up his food, keeping an eye on you as he ate.

He had to give her major props. Just the thought of her made his blood boil, but the attention to detail was pretty incredible. What else would you expect from the Mistress of All Evil, he rolled his eyes. She was the reason you were here, the reason your friends were working their hardest to continue fighting, the reason everything was happening. Well, her and her group of equally as terrible people. Vanitas hoped that none of them interfered here, and he knew they would mostly be distracted by everything else that was going on, but he was prepared for anything. Besides he hadn't trained with Namine for as long as he had to be able to get to you, just to end up failing.

He looked up at you again, only to notice you were already looking at him. Once you realized he was staring back at you, you quickly looked away. He smirked to himself, he still had the same effect on you as he had before. He knew that his sudden appearance had changed your perception of where you were. That was great, the more you started to think and question everything around you the easier it would be to fix everything.

Vanitas picked up his tray, slung his bag over his shoulder, and made his way to the trash. As he passed by your table he plastered his usual smirk on his face and gave you a wave which you waved back to. His face returned to a neutral expression after passing your table. He went over his plan or at least whatever he'd planned so far.

He was sure everything would go fine on his end, he just hoped the others were doing just as well.
