Kalel wanted to hang out the next day and go out for dinner. I scheduled my normal babysitter, Lily, to pick Isabelle from daycare and then watch her while I'm out to dinner.

"And don't forget to take care of those files." my manager said as I rose from my seat.

His nice gelled brown hair sat perfectly on his head. He was about 33 and was very handsome. He seemed to always favor me over the rest of the employees around this floor of the building.

I nodded my head, turned my back and bent down to gather the files that were on the floor next to my desk.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner tonight?" He asked.

I closed my eyes and sighed. I stood up and faced him. "Mr. Dole-"

He cute me off. "You can call me Thomas."

As much as I wanted to I had to decline. "Okay, well Thomas...I feel we should keep this at a business level. Plus I have a previous engagement." I stood there holding my things.

His smile faded a little. "That's fine. Maybe some other time." he flashed a big smile at me.

I couldn't help but smile.

"Have a good night." he said as I walked past him.

I set everything in the seat next to me and drove over to the address Kalel gave me.

I knocked on the door and I heard some footsteps. She yelled something to someone and then opened the door.

I put a smile on my face. "Hey!" I said.

"Hey Grace!" she replied giving me a hug.

I was still in my work clothes which consisted of a pair of light pink trousers, a white blouse and some white flats. My hair was curled which barely sat on my shoulders.

"Ready?" she asked.

I nodded my head.

"Bye Anthony. Bye Ian!" she yelled before closing the door.

"Who was that?" I asked as we made our way to my car.

"My boyfriend and his crazy best friend." she said laughing. "If you have time after dinner maybe you could meet them. They're both very sweet." she said.

"Oh, excuse all my work stuff." I said gathering it all and carefully setting it in the back of the car.

We both got in the car and headed towards the restaurant.

"So where do you work?" she asked.

"I handle a lot of paper work for a big business called Triton's. I am a businesswoman I guess you could say." I said turning around and checking to see if any cars were coming. "I also go to meetings and represent the company."

She nodded her head. "That's cool!" she said.

I smiled. "Yeah, it keeps me very busy though." I said with a laugh.

Once we got Into the restaurant we got a seat pretty quickly because there weren't many people there. We both had never been to that restaurant and weren't sure if it was even going to be any good. Once We got our food we quickly discovered it wasn't. My chicken was cold and a little soggy on the outside. Kalel's salmon wasn't cooked all the way.

We picked at our food a little and then decided to leave earlier than we expected.

"That was terrible." She said as we got back into the car.

I laughed. "It was pretty bad. Oh well now we know not to eat there anymore." I said shrugging.

"Well you still have some time to kill, right?" she said checking her phone.

I nodded my head.

" well how about we hang at my place some more before you have to go?"

"Yeah that sounds great!" I said pulling out of the lot.

^^

We walked through the door and Kalel welcomed me in.

"Anthony!" she yelled.

A guy with longish hair emerged from another room. She gave him a kiss. "This is Grace. The girl I told you about."

He outstretched his hand. "Nice to meet you." he smiled.

I nodded and shook his hand.

"Ian should be around here somewhere." Anthony said looking back over his shoulder.

"I'm right here." he said walking out into the living room.

I watched him as he walked over to the couch and picked something up, then came over to where we were standing.

He finally looked back at me. He stopped messing with his phone and a small smile crept up on his face.

He was cute.

"Hi.." he said extending his hand.

I couldn't help but smile. "Hi." I replied, shaking his hand.

"My name's Grace." I said as I took my hand away.

"Kalel has told me about you." he said taking his eyes off me for a moment to look at Kalel.

"Well lets sit!" she said after some awkward silence.

We talked for as long as we could before I had to leave. I Rose from the couch and said my goodbyes to everyone.
