Chapter Five

You think I'm insanely attractive?

I nearly jumped in surprise when someone tapped my back. I glanced over my shoulder. "Natalie." I exclaimed and heaved a sigh of relief.

Natalie raised her perfect eyebrow. "Still in the wonderland, Ms.Alice?" She asked in a sing-song manner.

The corner of my lips tugged upwards into a small smile as I rolled my eyes. "I'm waiting for my Johnny Depp." I replied, giddily.

Natalie smirked and dramatically flicked her hair. "Ohh. Too bad. He's still in my bed, too tired to meet you kaya pinadala nalang nya ko dito."

We giggled, then both of us burst into laughter.

Nang humupa na yung tawa ko, I looked around. "Where are they?" Nagtataka kong tanong dito ng ginala ko yung mga mata ko at kami nalang dalawa yung natira dito sa loob ng locker room.

Natalie giggled. "Kanina pa sila nakaalis lahat." She shook her head. "Are you even here?"

Again, I rolled my eyes while Natalie chuckled.

"What's bothering you? You're so distracted these past few days." Natalie asked with furrowed eyebrows.

I snorted. Sino ba naman ang hindi ma di-distract sa labi ng isang Adien Del Franco?

Thanks for reminding me again, Natalie. I thought and groaned.

I glanced at Natalie's direction and sighed.

Hinihintay nito yung sagot ko.

I looked at her again and this time, shrugged my shoulders. "It's not important, Nats." I replied and reached into my pocket to grab my phone.

Naiinis na binalik ko ulit yung phone ko sa bulsa ko nang makita ko na halos mapuno na naman ng miss call at text messages yung screen.

Bumaling ako kay Natalie na ngayon eh busy na sa pagpapaganda. "A hot date with Dave?" Nakangisi kong tanong dito.

Inalis ni Natalie yung tingin nito sa compact mirror na hawak nito at saglit akong sinulyapan. "Yup. And you are joining us."

I shook my head. "And be the third wheel and your chaperone?" I raised my eyebrow. "Thanks but no thanks." I continued.

Natalie laughed and powder her nose. "You need to come with us. Dave's friend is throwing a party. You must come."

I cleared my throat and scratched my forehead. "Ummm. Maybe..." I trailed off and threw a weary smile in her direction.

Natalie shot me a look that clearly said "You're going to come, whether you like it or not."

I gave her my sweetest smile. "I promise, I'll try." I added, innocently.

Natalie huffed and waved her hand dismissively. "I won't take no for an answer. You always say no. Please come?" Natalie said, giving me her best puppy eyes expression.

Nang hindi pa rin ako sumagot, nagpatuloy to. "I'm sure Sofia won't be there."

Sofia.

My so-called best friend who slept with my boyfriend.

No, let me rephrase that.

My backstabbing bitch of a friend who slept with my as*hole ex-boyfriend.

I beamed at my thoughts and then snorted at Natalie's direction. "I don't care about her, Natalie." I replied and rolled my eyes.

"I know. You're not in love with Sam kaya pano ka ma-aapektuhan?" Sinara na nito yung hawak nitong compact mirror at hinarap na ako ng tuluyan.
