Chapter Four

Everyone wants a piece of this...

I looked around us and frowned slightly. "A mall?" I exclaimed.

Ade grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. "Why? You want to go somewhere else that can be just the two of us?" He said in his playful tone.

I snapped my head at him with narrowed eyes. "You conceited playboy. Of course not!"

He chuckled. "No need to deny it. Everyone wants a piece of this." He said cockily habang tinuturo yung sarili nito.

Good God! Puro helium yata yung laman ng ulo nitong si Ade kaya hindi na nakatapak yung mga paa nito sa lupa sa kayabangan.

I sighed and shook my head. "Conceited." I muttered.

Ade laughed and smirked at me. "Oh please honey. What's not to love?" He asked as he waved his hand in front of his face and body again.

Great! I'm darn right. Helium it is.

I let out a frustrated sigh and rolled my eyes upward.

Nakataas kilay akong lumingon dito. "Nung nagpaulan yata ng kayabangan yung nasa taas, nasalo mo naman yatang lahat. Hindi ka man lang nagtira para sa iba." Nang iinis kong sabi dito habang umiiling iling pa.

To my surprise, Ade grinned and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Hey.." I shrieked and pushed his hands off me.

He chuckled and held me tighter. "Believe me honey, you'll fall for me. Everyone does." He said, the corner of his lips turned up.

I went still for a few minutes. "Wow." I exclaimed. "You love yourself too much." I added with a snort.

He chuckled and pinched my nose. "Soon, you will too."

I can feel my face heats up.

He laughed.

I huffed and rolled my eyes at him. Naiinis na tinulak ko nalang to at hindi na ko nagsalita. Lahat ng sabihin ko may kayabangan na katapat lagi.

Inis lang.

He grabbed my hand and started to walk beside me. "Let's go to the arcade." Parang wala lang na aya nito sakin.

Napataas nalang yung kilay ko sa ginawa nito.

What's with the mood swing?

I sighed and shook my head. "Arcade?"

"No. Restroom." Sagot nito. His voice is dripping with sarcasm.

Pilosopo!

Timpi pa Embry. Wag patulan ang isip bata na kasama mo.

Piping paalala ko nalang sa sarili ko bago pa ko makulong for assault.

Tumingin nalang ako sa paligid namin ng hindi yung nakakairitang pagmumuka ni Ade yung nakikita ko.

Pagkapasok namin ng arcade, automatic na nahinto yung ilang nadaanan namin at napatingin saming dalawa ni Ade.

No wonder, puno ng kayabangan tong si Ade. Head turner naman talaga at hindi ko alam kung matatawa ba ako o maiinis sa mga babae na halatang nagpapapansin dito.

Ade's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Wait here. Bibili lang ako ng token natin. Don't miss me too much, honey." Nakangisi na paalam nito sakin.

Before I could protest, Ade turned around and walked away.

I heaved a frustrating sigh.

Ade is the most frustrating man I have ever met.

Sinundan ko nalang ng tingin si Ade na ngayon eh pabalik na sa kinatatayuan ko. Nakangisi ako nitong hinila kung nasan yung mga video games.
