We're going on a date

"Wake up, sleepyhead." My Mom said, nudging my shoulders.

"Mom." I groaned. "I don't want to go to school." I mumbled under my breath.

"Come on, sweetie. Haul yourself up and get ready. You're going to be late."

Looks like my Mom turned deaf.

I sighed and groaned. "But Mom-----"

"No buts. Get up now, pumpkin."

I sigh and sit up in my bed, yawning.

Tumayo si Mama mula sa pagkakaupo nito sa gilid ng kama ko at nagsimula ng maglakad papunta sa pintuan.

"We'll wait for you downstairs, sweetie." She said before she closed my bedroom door.

As soon as the door closed, I lay back down on my bed. The truth is, I needed a break from school.

I have a perfect attendance for three freaking years, a few days off won't do any damage.

And besides university to, not a freaking high school na big deal yung attendance.

But I know my parents wouldn't approve.

Hindi sinasadya na napatingin ako sa wall clock. "Damn it." I mumbled against my pillow.

I unwillingly pulled myself out of my bed to get ready for school.

I made my way to the bathroom and took a quick shower.

I was changing into a fitted top when my phone started ringing.

I peeked at my phone and saw Adien's name on the caller ID.

Great!

Another reason for going to school. Note my sarcasm.

I grabbed and tugged my jeans on ng hindi pinapansin yung tawag ni Adien.

Before I left my room, I made sure to grab my things, especially my phone that keeps ringing the whole time.

"Morning." Bati ko sa parents ko pagkarating ko sa dulo ng hagdanan at naabutan ko silang dalawa sa sala.

"Morning, my little fairy." My Dad said.

I frowned and shook my head.

Little fairy? When I was a child, I found it endearing. Pero naman. I'm 19 years old na kaya, not 9 pero kahit anong protesta ko kay Dad, ayaw nitong itigil yung pagtawag nito sakin ng Little fairy.

Apparently according to him, I'm still his Little fairy, always have and always will.

I stared at them.

I can't help but smile while looking at them.

Mom is fixing my Dad's tie while my Dad is smiling down at her.

I can truly see and feel the bond between them.

Sa ganitong pagkakataon ko masasabi, that true love still exist.

And this is what I'm looking for.

Someone who can look at me like that na para bang ako lang yung buhay nya.

Someone who'll do anything for me dahil gusto nyang makita yung ngiti sa mga labi ko.

Is that so hard to ask for?

I have only been in one relationship and it was a nightmare.

My ex-boyfriend is a huge douche. Especially if that particular ex-boyfriend of yours, cheated on you with one of your friends.
