- Chapter 22

About 2 hours later I heard heels clicking into my room, I looked up holding baby Audrey in my arms. Jordyn looked mad seeing that I wasn't dressed to party,

"What the hell?! Rebbeca! I said to get ready!" She stomps her foot.

"Yeah well I told you I'm on baby duty, my mom takes care of her while I'm out at school. She can't watch her all day! It's tiring!" I argue.

"Mrs. Hanson! Can you please come in here?" She calls out.

"Yes? What's going on Jordyn?" My mom asks in the doorway.

"Please please please tell Rebbeca that she has to go to a party! It's her Junior year! She's supposed to have fun and enjoy being a teenager! She deserves one night out atleast..." Her words trail off. My mom looks at me and sighs,

"Jordyn's right. You need to enjoy yourself a little more! Go party and I'll stay here with Audrey. Get dressed because high school is the most memorable years you'll ever have." She smiles. Excuse me? Doesn't she know the hell of shit I went through the first 2 years of high school! I doubt it will get any better than that.

"See! I told you!" Jordy smiles. I roll my eyes and grabbed my outfit then walked to the restroom.

"Ugh. Why can't she just go alone? I really hate parties that is one thing that will NEVER change." I tell myself as I threw on the dress. Before I put my heels on I curled my hair with a flat iron then headed out the door. I sprayed a bit of perfume on my neck and walked out to meet with Jordyn... I mean I tried to look decent atleast.

"Alright, let's get this over with!" I groaned walking down the stairs. Jordyn looks up,

"What happened with your make up?" She asks.

"I was thinking I should go all natural tonight." I smile.

"No, come on! This is our first party here!" She complains.

"So?" I threw myself onto the couch that we had.

"Soo! That means dress to impress! Who knows? There will be lots of guys there interested." She quirks up her eyebrows.

"Yuck." I used my index finger to point to my tongue.

"Really, Rebbeca!" Her sharp stern voice hurting my ears made my head begin to hurt.

"FINE! Do my make up! I don't care just as long as we leave and get here before 10!" I growled.

"Okay then." Her lips curved into a smile.

"Sit up straight, this will be quick!" She pulls out her make up bag that was thrown onto the glass table in front of the couch.

Not even 10 minutes pass by and she was already done, she put a mirror to my face and I stared at myself in amazement.

"I call it a Ruby Cut Crease." She smiles. I admired the eyeshadow then my eyes trailed down to my lips that were painted a beautiful burgundy color.

"My eyelashes are actually long as fuck!" I laughed.

"You think? I tried to not cut an eyelash off when I curled it." She giggles.

"Okay let's get this over with!" I said shutting the mirror in her hands.

"Have fun girls! You both look amazing!" My mom says holding Audrey in her arms.

"Thank you, Bridget." Jordyn smiles.

"Curfew?" I asked grabbing my purse.

"10." She says in a stern tone.

"Okay." Jordyn sighs as we walk out of the house.

*******At the party********
"Rebbeca can you get us some drinks? I will be right back." I heard Jordy try to yell over the blearing speakers. We stopped dancing and I nodded leaving her there with random people. She'd be alright, she's Jordyn! As I grabbed two water bottles I felt an arm wrap around my waist,

"He was right, you have definitely changed." I hear Alex say. I turned my head to look at him and quickly moved out of his grip.

"Ouch. Why are you rejecting me?" He smirks,

"Because I'm not interested." I snap at him.

"Why not?" He leans into my face,

"Alex! Leave that poor girl alone, man." A familiar voice said behind me. I turned and my eyes met his,

"Hey Austin." I fake a smile at him. His eyes widened,

"Rebbeca..?" He was taken back a bit.

"That is my name don't wear it out, by the way I can take care of myself."

"Woah.." Alex says,

"You heard her, so leave." He told Austin.

"Alright, as you were." Austin's eyes didn't move from mine until he left the kitchen.

"So back to where we were." Alex sent me a small smile. I laughed and said,

"In your dreams." Then I left with the water bottles. As I walked back into the living room where drunks were dancing and others either talking or making out on the couches. I found Jordyn talking to this one hunky guy,

"Hey Jordy, here you go." I handed her the plastic bottle. She looked at it and laughed,

"Rebbeca, I take it that you have never been to a party." She says holding up a beer. I roll my eyes and shrugged,

"Well your loss, don't be too out of it. You're driving us back remember?" I asked her.

"Yes, I know." She went back to talking to Mr.Hunk. I took a sip of water, looking around the room... there he was. He stared right at me looking to see what I would do next, this is a party so why am I not having fun for once? A smirk appeared on my face and I could tell Austin didn't like where this was going...

I walked back into the kitchen and had seen a plate of jello shots, I chugged down atleast 4 of them losing count after 5. I walked back to the dance floor and began to dance. Everything was was blurry but I don't care, atleast I feel happy.

"Hey, do you want a brownie?" A girl asked with a tray of them. I nodded a 'yes' and grabbed about 3 as I danced, it tasted horrible so I threw them in my purse.

"Rebbeca! You seem to be having fun!" Alex smiles. I growled at him and danced the other way,

"Come on! Don't be mean to me, atleast I like this you. Austin hates that you've changed and that is not right." He babbled on and on but his voice faded away in my ears and the music took over. Swinging my hips to the beat, I felt the same arms wrap around my waist. I turned and knew that it was Alex,

"Oh well." I said dancing against him.

"Want to go upstairs?" He asks.
