Michelle.

I walked out on stage and the crowd went mental.

“Michelle, you’re so sexy!” A girl called.

“Dude, she’s 32 years old!” Her friend yelled.

“So, She’s a MILF.” the girl said.

Ben, who’d witnessed the exchanged, laughed, “Sorry to break it to you girl, but Michelle is married and has six kids.”

I glared at him, “Okay, things I didn’t want the crowd to know..” I said.

“They still think you’re hot, check out the signs!” He said pointing out.

I looked out to the crowd.

People in the back were holding signs that read

WE LOVE YOU MICHELLE!

MICHELLE PERRY FOR THE WIN!

PERRY’S ARMY 4EVER!

And then one that made me laugh.

MICHELLE+BEN=LOVE 4EVA MOR!

I laughed, “Thank you, you’re all too kind.” I said.

“So she has a Perry’s Army,  but what about me?”  Ben asked.

“I’m in Ben’s army!” A girl yelled.

“That’s the spirit!” I called.

“Let’s play this fuckin song.” I said to Ben.

After we’d played eight songs, we took a break.

“So how are we doing tonight Phoenix?” Ben asked.

The crowd roared.

“Wow, we got a bunch of loud ones.” I said.

“It’s good to have a loud crowd, am I right?” Ben called.

The crowd roared again.

Henny, the guitar tech swapped my guitars while I downed a bottle of water.

“You look like you’re about to melt out here.” Henny said.

I laughed, “I’m getting there.” I said.

During the next song, I got carried away with myself, and I tripped on an amp and swan dived off the stage.

Luckily, one of the security guards caught me before I broke my neck.

“Thanks.” I said when he put me down.

“No problem.”He said nodding.

“Are you alright?” Ben asked.

“I bet she’s drunk.” Someone called.

I looked at Ben, “I’m fine, I just need a second.” I said climbing back on stage and walking back stage.

I sat down.

Ben followed, “Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked.

I nodded, “Yeah, just a little shaken up.” I said.

“Have you been drinking?” He asked.

“All I had was the shot with you guys before we came on stage.” I said.

He gave me a look.

“Ben, I just tripped.” I said.

“As much as I’d like to believe you, I can’t bring myself to do so.” He said.
